If you’re like me you can appreciate a great knockout. I know I’m in the minority at this point but I’m not a big MMA fan, more of a boxing enthusiast but there’s no denying this one. Check out Pat Curran sending Marlon Sandro to sleep and halfway across the ring (or is it called an octagon). The fight took place on MTV2′s Bellator “Summer Series” finale. As you’ll see from Curran’s eye jammy, Sandro got his shots in but in the end his night would come to a close at the end of Curran’s foot.

This independence day we got a little added bonus. Not only was it the annual birth celebration of our country but the 125th such for the Statue of Liberty which sits just south of the island of Manhattan where the Mighty Hudson meets the very dirty East River. Its crazy because I can remember having these VIP seats that my dad bought us for the 100th Anniversary. To think that was 25 years ago is crazy.

Anyway, To celebrate Beyoncé took a stage which oddly enough for those who are unfamiliar with the geography was about 4 miles east of where the fireworks took place to perform”Best Thing I Never Had” and “God Bless The USA”. I was waiting for Kanye and his “All of the Lights” but maybe I was the only one who thought it was appropriate.

My fill of sketch comedy was often provided by “In Living Color.” But every now and then the NBC staple drops a gem like Justin Timberlake’s “Dick in a Box.” This past Saturday, the show featured Nicki Minaj in a skit called “The Bride of Blackenstein.” Pushing the envelope, producers chose to emphasised Nicki “Fatty Acids” as the Bride of Blackenstein played By Keenan Thompson. Stereotypically funny.

Both have been on her show a handful of times with Oprah giving Beyonce the single most important piece of celebrity relationship advice she still holds on to till this day in keeping her affairs private.

Dude is the driest, most boring interview a man can give. Yet, world famous journalist, Charlie Rose chops it up with him for a second time in promotion of his book “Decoded” at the Brooklyn Museum. There’s a prize for the first person who can sit through the whole thing.
