Nick Cannon has been counting MTV paper for years and years.  For all the loot they’ve paid this kid they would have been better served to just give him a piece of Viacom and calling a wrap.  Well Mr. Carey is going back to the well and taking his new artist, Cory Gunz with him. While he’s not really new to the underground savvy Highbrid Nation, Corey’s getting his mainstream treatment and preparing for his crossover debut.  The reality show which follow this journey is set to premier April 28th.  CThe evolution will be televised.

Then today some interesting footage leaked and its creating quite a buzz. The footage appears to be some sort of footage from an upcoming Mortal Kombat movie starring Michael Jai White (or as my wife calls him “Spawn”). The odd thing about it that there hasn’t been any word of a new Mortal Kombat movie being in the works. So the fact that something has already starting filming is very strange. Some people believe that the footage was filmed by Warner Bros. just to see what the fan reaction would be to resurrecting the franchise. Others think that the footage isn’t from a movie at all and is just a viral video created to start buzz about an upcoming Mortal Kombat video game debuting this summer at E3. Whatever the origin of this footage, it looks like it has the potential to be much better than anything we’ve seen called “Mortal Kombat” to date.

“Twelve”, the new Joel Schumacher and 50 Cent collabo movie was recently bought at the Sundance Film Festival for a cool $2 million by Hannover House, an independent publisher and media company.

The film is based on the 2002 Nick McDonell novel by the same name.  50 is typecast as a Harlem drug-dealer named Lionel.  “Twelve.” In 2002, then 17-year-old McDonell wrote a novel that starkly depicted teenage drug use and decadence on the Upper East Side. The story follows a high school dropout-turned-drug dealer. His lucrative life sours when the dealer’s cousin is brutally murdered on an East Harlem playground and his best friend is arrested for the crime.

… oh yeah and it’s in 3D (whoo hoo)

Here’s the official trailer from one of my first celebrity crush’s Chilli’s new reality show, ‘What Chilli Wants.” surfaced today. The show is scheduled to debuts April 11th on VH1.

Former MTV VJ, La La Vasquez recently announced that she was engaged to long-time boyfriend/ baby pops, NBA Superstar, Carmelo Anthony. The relationship has done wonders for her career as a…ummmm…yeah. Well anyway she’s some how been able to flip that career into a gig in a new reality show described as Love of Ray J meets Love and Basketball. Check it out.

Although from the trailer alone I’m definitely not feeling B.A. Baracus, the other characters seem to be very similar to what I remember. The action clearly will be over the top. We’ll have to wait and see but it should be in line with the G.I. Joe type summer blockbusters.

Though you will catch glimses of Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury and Scarlett Johanson as Black Widow, the highlight of the trailer is seeing Terence Howard Don Cheadle as War Machine.

Honestly this looks like it may be better than I thought it would be and I think I’ll be taking to the fam to go see it. I think it will be nice to see into the creative mind of Michael Jackson. What about you guys?
