Could the the Aurora Shooting Have Been Staged by the Government or Well-Funded Lobby Group?
Is it too hard to believe that such a heinous act could have been orchestrated by a group with a cause
As a marketer, I have become very fascinated by trends and human behavior. Perhaps that in addition to our wonderful readers and contributors has been my motivation for continuing the Highbrid Nation. What makes people tick. What causes them to do the odd things they do?
That question has often been asked in the wake of school/ mass shooting incidents that have been on the rise since the 1999 mass murder at Columbine High School. What triggered that first attack? The experts have pointed at bullying and society ostracizing the would-be shooters for their odd and reclusive behavior. What ensued was a wave, a trend, if you will (without being too insensitive) of similar killings. One of my favorite authors, Malcolm Gladwell discusses this in his book, The Tipping Point. He discusses how even suicide can be motivated by fad, the willingness to kill oneself to fit in.
What invariably winds up happening is we focus heavily on the suspect, we certainly rarely know the victims and far too often pay little attention to the facts. So would it be so far fetched that while the Media dedicate hours, column inches and books to these clowns that an entity, even our own Government couldn’t put this production together like an elaborate Broadway play?
Before the bodies were cold, conspiracy theorist all over the net launched theories of how this could be an effort on the part of the Governement or other well funded group to perhaps draw attention to gun control, domestic terrorism or other lobby efforts. They pointed at the fact that the shooter, (who I’m purposely not naming,) went through the trouble of elaborately wiring his apartment with boobies-traps but then chose to tell police of the fact after his arrest. Critics have argued that this was because the trap was part of the shooters failed effort to lure police away from the theater with the loud techno-music he put on before his departure and subsequent explosion that would ensue when police made entry. Who knows.
If we go by strictly reports, the bombs and the precision by which this attack was carried out was done by a professional or with the help of one. Police have called the boobie-traps and the intelligence used to put one together very sophisticated. Beyond the ability of a brilliant pre-medical student? Who knows? With so many causes and so much political impact such an act can have on campaign season is it really out of the realm of possibility that this was put together by someone other than a lone shooter? I guess we’ll probably never know.

I don’t know that the gun control advocates would go so far as to help plan such an act but they certainly jump on them the second they occur as a reason for denying us our Second Amendment right.
A conspiracy theory brews whenever there are unanswerable questions or questionable answers.

So to answer your question, Yes. Anything is possible.
I don’t know I agree with Mr. Bad Guy on this. But how can we put a man in prison when we gave him the bomb and the means to carry it out. But a Person buying 6k rounds of ammo and protection equipment with no law enforcement id or question happen? This seems like this could have been stopped. Its like having 5 cops push a guy into the street and the arrest him for j walking. While a guy speeds buy honking the horn with one hand and 40oz in the other. LOL
All I know is that innocent lives were taken,regardless of y some people had brought their children 2 such a violent movie or regardless of how he got the ammo, he did it alone as in physically there. I am sure AmeriKKKa yes I went there again, I am sure AmeriKKKa will blame President Obama some how, some way, if they could HOLOGRAM him ala 2pac at the crime scene they would. I just hate when ppl say it’s becuz of 2 many Guns, Hip hop music, or the movie itself. Every1 especially the Right/Left Wing media wants 2 place blame on Art or Obama or other silly excuses instead of placing the blame on this POS that took it upon himself 2 take lives. Please some1 tell me Y this wanna be Joker,(just FYI The Jokers hair was green not orange) grandson of Satan, bitch ass monster is not dead yet? RIP 2 the victims and families that have suffered becuz of this senseless act of violence.
This is something 4 the Racial Commitee 2 think on….He is obviously a White boy and MOST not all but MOST of these Mass Killings are done by White Boys, yet when they commit these violent acts, no one ever looks at it like ALL White men mass murderers,serial killers,etc. or think oh this white man/boy is about 2 shoot up this theater,workplace, school etc, yet when 9/11 popped off EVERYBODY was watching Middle EASTERN/Arab/Muslims etc like ALL were terrorist. When black and Hispanics commit crimes ala Drive Bys/Robbing check cashing places, 4 an example ONLY. WE well not me but some say/think that “THEY ARE ALL LIKE THAT” category. Yet White men are put in that individual category, “well that was just one guy” “He was just crazy”, they use individual terms like HE, HIM,THAT GUY, ETC. Not tryn 2 kick up no dust, but just some shit I observe living in AmeriKKKa. Again HE should be dead by now. If he were any race but White he would have died on the spot,hell WE meaning minorities are killed by KKKops 4 lesser reasons than a mass shooting(jaywalking,being black etc)I am sure I will be called a racist 4 even bring up this topic. Does any1 have a pen 2 co-sign what I am spitt’n or is your pen out of ink?

It’s just like when drugs ran out of control in the inner city. The mentality was to lock everyone up, throw away the key. But, when drugs and the violence inolved hit the suburbs the tune changed to interventions and rehabilation.
I gotta Co-Sign that 1. It is still like that in AmeriKKKa,yet if I were 2 put ALL whitemen in that serial-killer,mass-murdering,child molestation stereo type I would be wrong,yet it continues with whites stereo-typing blackmen especially in that way. Ahh AmeriKKKa it’s democracy is it’s hypocracy.
Good point. There is no stereotype of white boys with orange hair and a wild look in their eye going on a murderous rampage. As for as hoodies, fake dreads and saggin’ pants however…

There is NO WAY that this was staged by either the government or a lobby group.

First, (despite popular movies and conspiracy theories), I think you’d have a hard time convincing someone to conspire in a mass murder for political gain. Second, even if you COULD talk someone into doing this, the odds of getting caught would stop the plan from ever getting off the ground.

In the real world, conspiracies are very hard to keep under wraps, and something like this would be impossible.

HOWEVER… I think it’s pretty certain that the media and the pols on both sides are more than willing to use this event to further their pre-existing political beliefs. Take, for example, ABC jumping with glee at the (false) idea that the shooter was a member of the tea party.
He might’ve had help, but I don’t think that this was politically motivated, from what I’ve heard on TV, nothing else in his life was going his way, I think that he was ticked off, plus, he may have wanted to be famous, jus’ my opinion. PEACE!!!
