SOUND OFF: Should Michelle Obama Be Allowed To Spend 50K on Sexy Lingerie?
Bad form in a struggling economy or can should she be allowed to put the spice in her marriage?
During a recent trip to New York it was rumored that Michelle Obama racked up a $50,000 bill on high priced lingerie. The report which first appeared in Britain’s The Telegraph, claims portions of Park Avenue was shut down so that the first lady could get her sexy back at Agent Provocateur.
“Michelle Obama has risked the wrath of cash-strapped Americans by indulging in a $50,000 shopping spree at Agent Provocateur… ‘Along with the Queen of Qatar, Sheikha Mozah, she closed off part of Madison Avenue to spend time in the luxury lingerie shop.”
The White House has since released a statement vehemently denying the allegations. But should they have to? I believe the argument is that at a time when many Americans are cash strapped the otherwise very thrifty clothing shopper, Michelle Obama shouldn’t be splurging for bedtime goodies. But on the flip side, Valentines Day IS coming up and her man has worked rather hard this past year fighting with Republicans in congress, can’t the brother get a little love? SOUND OFF Should Michelle Obama be allowed to drop 50G’s on Lingerie?

The press needs to stop all this crap about, “in these hard economic times…” whenever someone spends money on something frivolous. Wealthy people have always spent their money on frivolous things! Times have ALWAYS been tough for poor people, hypocritical dumbasses! All of a sudden, because more people are struggling, the wealthy, whose numbers continue to climb, regardless of the economy, are supposed to not spend their money on WTF they want to?! and don’t get me wrong, I’m not defending any wealthy bastard or their spending habits. In fact, I detest most of them and their narcissistic, heathen ways (lol), but WTF?! the media has no moral highground to all of a sudden legislate how others should spend their money. In fact, the media, in general, can be used as an example of excess and unchecked egos/largesse. They’re for the people now?! yeah, ok!
I could ask the same question on should people who live in public housing and live off of public subsidities walk around in $100 sneakers and $250 coats…..but I wont. I would rather worry about myself, my own personal finances and spending habits.

But “We The People” elected The President(and subsequently First Lady), as well as other elected officials, therefore giving them the “okay” to live off the peoples dime. There was no election for anyone else.

She is wealthy beyond most peoples dreams. It’s her money and she is free to spend it however she wants.
