Huntsman Out

Posted by Malcolm

Malcolm gets to say ‘I told you so’ again

As predicted here 11 days ago, Jon Huntsman is dropping out of the Republican race after failing to achieve at least a second place showing in the New Hampshire primary 5 days ago.

Huntsman had skipped Iowa in order to focus on the New Hampshire primary. It was assumed that if he could score high enough, it would catapult him into a good position before South Carolina. In reality, this worked out just as badly as it did when Rudy Giuliani tried his ‘Florida strategy’ in the 2008 election.

The South Carolina primary is this Saturday. Expect Romney to win it by a healthy amount. More important will be the second and third place winners.

This is do or die time for Santorum, Gingrich and Perry. Assuming that Ron Paul doesn’t score in the top three, there is one less chair than there are candidates. Of the three I just mentioned, expect the one who doesn’t score in the top three to be pressured to drop out.

In particular… keep an eye on Santorum. South Carolina is believed to be a stronghold for the evangelical Christian voter. If Santorum doesn’t score second this Saturday, he’s probably done.

LOL, there are only some many people i wouldn’t mind from the GOP running this country. Huntsman, and maybe Mitt (only because of what he actually did in mass not for what he is saying) All others i might have to move to Canada if they win.

Its funny to me that that the President ran on health care and he did what he could but he passed it. He help save the Car industry, and banking industry. Put in stimilus in the water and for the time being helped slow down the shedding of jobs. Killed Osama, Withdrew from Iraq,Killed note able Taliban officals in Yemen and Pakistan. Help pass consumer laws for credit card companies to make there language more readable for the lay person and many many many other things.

Oh and the economy has added Jobs. People will say that it is not his fault the economy is doing better. I then ask how would the economy be doing if there were no banks or car industries in America we own?

So where is the no confidence?

Sorry Juan I have been waiting to debate… :)
