Perry and Bachmann expected to drop out

Mitt Romney won the Iowa caucus last night by EIGHT VOTES.

Santorum, the last of the pack to get a surge, came in a close second.

Perry has canceled his plans and is heading back to texas.

Bachmann is calling a press conference for 11 am today.

Both are expected to drop out in the next few days.

There is no truth to the rumor that they are starting a band called “Bachmann Perry Overdrive

Final Results:

I just don’t get this. EIGHT VOTES? I mean so if eight more Santorum voters would have chosen to go to the caucus instead of watching the Sugar Bowl they would have ended in a tie? Better yet, 4 people who closed their eyes and said “enie meanie miney mo” picked differently…

Perry will be back. Bachman….Maybe not so much. I like Paul. He’s so outrageous. Lets close our doors, cut off all UPS deliveries to any other country, discontinue international calling and put electric dog collars around every Mexican (and gay person) so when they come near the border. ZAP!

Perry is staying in. Which made sense once I thought about it.
      .
Things are going to move pretty quick, with New Hampshire, South Carolina and Florida all in January.
      .
This is going to get complicated, so I hope you can follow this logic (actually more of an opinion)…
      .
Huntsman is banking on New Hampshire. Similar to what Rudy did in 08 with his Florida plan. If Huntsman doesn’t score big (within the top 2) in New Hampshire, he’s probably going to have to drop out.
      .
Santorum has the mo now, but that’s only because he was the last one to peak before Iowa. Now that he’s in the front row, they’re going to start playing video of all of the crazy stuff he’s said over the years (and there’s a lot). I still have to believe that Santorum is going to peak out.
      .
Between the two, there are enough votes hanging out there to make Perry a possibility. At that point, it becomes a fight between Perry and Newt for Huntsman and Santorum votes.
      .
So if he can afford to do it, there’s no reason why Perry would drop out.
      .
If Mitt can just stay out of the way long enough for the others to shoot themselves in the foot, Mitt could wind up last man standing.

Not sure where you are getting your impressions of Ron Paul are but they sound a bit contrived by someone wanting to deceive you.

If I were a true conservative though would I be happy with Mitt? I mean the guy is rather moderate isn’t he?
