?uestlove Isn’t Feeling the Love Following Bachman ‘Bitch’ Backlash
Right Wing extremest blast the iconic drummer calling him a “Nigger fuckhead ghetto stick”. (Yeah…that’s racist btw.)
When was the last time Hip Hop was at the center of a political firestorm? But that’s where ?uestlove of The Roots find himself following the still smoldering outrage over his decision to introduce Presidential Candidate, Michelle Bachman to the tune of “Lyin’ Ass B*tch.”
While he’s apologized along with the network, Bachman’s radical Tea Party supporters aren’t letting him live, choosing to take to social media, a platform the digital savvy Questo uses frequently to voice their displeasures.
“I’ve seen some really colorful epithets in the past four days, but ‘n*gger f*ckhead ghetto stick’ is probably the one that takes the cake. I’m still trying to get my head around that one,” the musician told Pitchfork.com. “Blocking 3,500 tea party extremists [on Twitter] in a three day period is no fun, especially when you’re a drummer dangerously close to carpal tunnel. In the end, was it worth it? Absolutely not.”
Classifying himself as the “posterboy” of Feminism, he admits he didn’t mean to offend anyone he DID intend to make a political statement.
“I was really just going with her whole revisionist history angle, I wasn’t calling it out on her being a woman.”

White people don’t like no nigga calling their women “Bitches,” huh? …. Bitch is the other word that just rolls off Black people’s tongues like it’s nothing….I find it just as offensive as when White people use “Nigger.” I can say I have never called a woman a “Bitch.” or a Black person a “Nigger.” ….
I can’t go that far but I’m making the effort cause there’s ugins and smishes out there fo real.
I agree that the crazy racists always seem to seep out of the woodwork whenever they can.

However… far as the actual incident goes; I think a lot of people are pissed because it was a cheap shot.

Strange as this sounds, I would have been better with it had he sung the lyrics. Call her a lying ass bitch to her face, make the political statement, but make it KNOWN.

Playing the song without lyrics to someone who doesn’t obviously know the song strikes me as kind of a cruel (or cowardly) attack. Kind of like when all the popular kids vote the ugly shy girl homecoming queen so they can laugh at her behind her back (but right to her face since she’s the only one not in on the joke).

But here’s the key to understanding the over the top outrage that Bachman and some of her supporters are feeling…

Part of their psyche is based on the belief that the media is liberal, is constantly on the attack when it comes to republicans; and, worst of all… that the media is SMUG, believing that they’re always right and looking down on everyone who doesn’t agree with them as being too stupid to see that they’re wrong.

The best example to sum this up comes from, of course, Family Guy. The scene where Quarmire finally tells Brian why he hates him. There’s no video on this, but the audio is there and it’s priceless.

They do this all the time though Malcolm both Good and Bad. I think their “Schtick” has become to surprise the guest or keep them guessing as to what they’ll play. Its become part of the show.
Even though I think she is a a Lying ass person. LOL going out name calling in public i feel was a bit over the top. I’m not surprised with the Tea party racist. Just surprised that Quest went that far and opened himself up for this kind of abuse. Its almost like wearing Pumps, and a short dress in a prison. You are almost asking for it.
