So Just What DOES Fabolous Think About Love & Hip Hop

Posted by Juan

Talks to HOT 97′s Angie Martinez about the show

The Reality Wives craze is out of control. Every Monday night when I log on to Twitter (@SkeeStylus.  Shout to CHAMP 415 CityLife_415 who connected with the kid last night) to discuss MNF with the fellas we somehow get drowned out by the web chatter call it commotion that is caused by one “Love & Hip Hop” tv show. While I’ve admittedly never watched an episode because well I like my brain cells, Its all the rage in the Hip Hop community.

But like with its predecessor, “Basketball Wives“, the “husbands” haven’t always been to keen on having their shorties act a fool on camera and probably to a greater extent, be able to spin it into a profit. Dwight Howard, comes to mind as one of the smart ones who managed to gag his baby moms, Royce Reed. He’s got it so legally locked down you wouldn’t ever know the two even knew each other let alone had a kid together if it weren’t for those much cooler blogs. In perhaps a moment of frustration, she shot off at the hip and was promptly slapped with a lawsuit from the Magic center for violating their gag order.

As for Fabolous on the flip side, his shorty Emily B. (Apparently that’s her government) has been keeping the otherwise board very entertained by participating in the VH1 sponsored sideshow complete with Jim Jones wife and some other random chicks playing the part of the female Mo, Larry and Curly. Here’s what Fab thinks of the modern day vaudeville nonsense.

Well see there…even he says it’s all about the money…if Emily had her own show then he would join…but this show is headlined by Jim Jones and Chrissie…

I admit I watch it…and it is a mindless soap opera…but so is sports! ;)

    • E.L.Diaz says:

What?! Blasphemy! You comparing this crap to sports?! My wife watches this garbage and I sat down and watched one episode with her and was amazed that A. they would actually be on tv doing all that stupid ish and B. that there are people who watch it…and like it! If we ever get divorced, I’m having my attorney put “reality tv shows” as part of the “irreconciable differences,” LOL…Sporting competition teaches hard work, respect, commitment, determination, loyalty, teamwork, resiliency, dignity, and is entertainment where people at the height of their physical prowess compete and go above and beyond to achive the collective goal…
      No comparison….

    • Juan says:

I didn’t want to sound sexist but he’s absolutely right. Sports are live unscripted action. I think you might be overstating the “values” portion but I get your point. This reality craze has kept a lot of people in business however so I guess from an economic standpoint I aint mad. As you said its not good for marriages though.

The show is a train wreck that I unfortunately keep viewing. And yes I am losing brain cells. I like Emily and Somaya though. Oh and of course I love Nancy aka Mama Jones.

    • Juan says:

You speak of these people like their fictional characters written into the plot of some Nancy Drew mystery. I can’t.

      • nani says:

Well… its a garbage show but I won’t lie when I am channel flickin and it catches my eye, sometimes I end up watching it. I don’t know them personally, they are characters to me.

        • E.L.Diaz says:

That’s very interesting…they are not real people showing their dirt/flaws. To you, they are characters on a show….never thought about it like that…I wonder how many people look at it that way….

    • Juan says:

Hilarious. Fact of the matter is it doesn’t stimulate much else other than your funny bone. I think I’ll read wikipedia from the beginning before I partake in this fad.
