The Obama Doctrine
How the death of Gadahafi and Bin Laden highlight a new method of expressing power
With today’s capture and killing of Libyan dictator Moammar Gadahafi, we have seen another example of a military strategy that will eventually become known as the Obama Doctrine.

The Obama Doctrine, simply stated is this: It is possible to fight the war on terror without endangering American lives through the use of coordinated intelligence and armed remote vehicles pre-positioned in likely points of targeting.
.
In other words: with enough surveillance, enough analysis, and the patience to wait for the right opportunity, we can fight the war on terror one terrorist at a time, without the unneeded expense and risk of putting Americans into the target countries.

Here’s how we got Gadahafi: we knew that he had retreated to his hometown of Sirte. So, we parked 20 predator drones above the town and placed it under 24-hour surveillance. When he made his move, we dropped a missile on his convoy, giving the rebels on the ground the opportunity to attack and capture what was left of his guards.
.
No American boots on the ground, not a single American death, and done for less than $2 billion total (including the cost of operations in Libya up til this point).
.
This is not the first time that we have used this method. Less than a month ago, American born terrorist Anwar al-Awlaki was introduced to the Almighty by way of proper drone use; and since President Obama took office, our increased use of armed drones has basically popped off almost all of the important terrorists in the world.

These successful attacks have shown the power of limited all-technology attacks against specific targets.

As first shown to us in the Vietnam war, a major problem with traditional military strategy is that it is ineffective against an insurgent or underground enemy.
.
In traditional wars, ‘victory’ was achieved when the enemies’ capital city was captured, its government under control and its military population captured and disarmed.
.
But in the modern insurgent war, there is no capital to capture. There are no armies to fight on the field; there is essentially no way to easily recognize who your enemy is and where to attack.
.
So the most powerful standing army in the world stands waiting for battles that will never happen. If moved into a particular country, they become targets instead of soldiers. Our nation spends trillions of dollars to keep our troops all around the world, and we can’t even comfort ourselves with a clear definition of victory.

That is the situation The United States has faced for years. That has been the unwinnable corner we had backed ourselves into.

But now that changes under the Obama Doctrine. Low cost wars, with little to no risk of civilian casualties. Fewer innocent victims. And the ability to express American power anywhere in the world at a moment’s notice.

Not a bad option.

The Obama Doctrine is a proven effective and efficient method to get the job done. It could be what lifts us out of this recession if used right. But being active duty Air Force for 4 years taught me that things that make sense don’t matter if it will break tradition whether they’re out-dated or not.People won’t give credit where it’s due especailly if its Obama that deserves it.

It is no wonder that there have been reports that foreign agents have been attempting to hack into our drone network; the technology will rightly scare the s**t out of our enemies.
Wasn’t the internet a military project also?
Yes, the internet was (I think) a DARPA project.

It was originally designed as a project to create a network that would still function after an atomic attack.

Where in the old days networks were operated like a spoke, where all users logged into the same server, the internet operates as a ‘web’, where there are multiple ways of getting from point A to point B
Also known as “The Fight for Israel Doctrine”.
Even though I don’t agree with how he has helped Israel. But He is an American President, and i expect him to give undying support to occupiers of Palestine.
With that being said, our Millitary looks to be be changing from a big gargantuan force to highly trained groups of techno fighters.. I approve of this message.

It’s actually a 4 man team. One in the AOR that launches/lands the drone and the team stateside that does all the actual mission. There’s a slight delay that will cause damage to the drone if they try to land it from the states. Active Air Force here.
This jus’ sounds like one big chess game, jus’ got have troops in the replace at the right time to get the job done. PEACE!!!
MMMMmmmm on Pres.Obama’s watch 2 major DicKKKheadtators have been captured at killed that AmeriKKKa put in power in the 1st place or came n2 power by other means but could not or did not want 2 catch them . Sorry it took so long to get back you Juan. But the Map tells a lot but the written history tells even more. Before the State of Israel there where Jews there but not on the scale that it is today. The state was created in the late 1940′s Britain decided it was time to go. The People that belong to that land were the people the Allied forces decided to displace and put Europeans in their place. I don’t remember Moses coming from Poland,Germany, Russia… I do remember them coming from Ethiopia,Sudan, Egypt. No I don’t buy the it was my land before. I feel that the ancestors from Moses,Salomon.. Are in Palestine and Eastern Africa. But the fact they the people the land belongs to are forced to become subservient to the occupiers and then when they fight back they are called terrorist.
