Thoughts On President Obama’s Firey New Image?
“Stop Complainin’, Stop Cryin’, We Have Work to Do!”

Welcome back Mr. President. Do you remember the movie “Dave” starring Sigourney Weaver as the First lady and Kevin Klein as an ordinary man with an uncanny resemblence to the President is secretly swapped for the real President after he has a heart attack boning some jump off in the White House. Dave, now with all the power in the world revitalizes the administration reversing the comatosed deadbeat President’s policies exciting the media and his base endearing himself to everyone.
I’m not going to say that has or is going to happen here with President Obama but its interesting to note the recent change. It first took place during his speech before the joint sessions of Congress to rally support for his Jobs Bill. Quotes like “PASS THIS BILL” have been topics of discussion as the national unemployment rate hovers at 9.1 percent,
This past weekend during the Congressional Black Caucus black-tie event President Barack Obama delivered yet another firey speech to the 3,000 people in attendence. Obama told the members of his base supporters that the time had come to join him in his fight for jobs.
“Take off your bedroom slippers. Put on your marching shoes. Shake it off. Stop complanin’,” Obama demanded.” Stop grumblin’. Stop cryin’. We are going to press on. We have work to do.”
With 16.7 percent of blacks without a gig, well over the national average and with more than 40 percent of black children living in poverty its been time for a hot minute but I get his point. It almost seemed that at times, he was preaching from an old Southern Baptist pulpit rather than from the podium. Something black folk are very familiar with, but its not an accident.
Obama’s recently placating of conservatives and lack of programming for African Americans and the poor has left many blacks feeling left out. His approval rating across the board is below 50% and black folks have become disenfranchised to his rhetoric. Not good considering he had no chance of winning the White House in 08 without them and probably will need their support again if he has any dream of earning a second term.
So as his Administration shifts into campaign mode I ask you… Is there enough time for the President to right the ship? Does he need to get the economy going, create jobs and reduce unemployment in order to earn your vote? Is this new firey approach a step in the right direction or just smoke and mirrors at this point? SOUND OFF!

I say about Damn Time…. And yes We do need to muster up and go to work. We didn’t help him at all with the Midterm Election. And when he has tried to create jobs the Republicans shut him down. And my only complaint (besides Israel Recently) is that is was to willing to compromise and gave the GOP way to much. And much of it was done because of race. Comprimise should have been over last year. But hopefully he will see and understand what he needs to do next term. We have construction works that need work and infrastructure that needs fixing. Yes we need a housing market but until the foreclosures are c all taken up we have to go after low hanging fruit. As I said about Damn time.
I find it interesting because I’ve also noticed the recent cry from Republicans for NJ Gov Christie to get in the race. They like his brash manner and his gruff way of speech. I think Obama’s advisers have also noticed this and they realize that America is ready for some tough talk. I think that Obama will win again in 2012…but I feel this new Obama is a little late in being the tough guy.
Funny that he would chastise his supporters when he tripped over himself time and time again backpedalling away from them after he got in office! They have a right to complain. When people have a legitimate gripe with us and we don’t want to acknowledge it, we tell them to “stop crying.” Soooo, he is trying to appeal to them to go back to work for him…why? what have you done for me lately? As you said, Juan, he did a hell of a lot of compromising with Republicans. He did no compromising with us! He just did ignored us! Every president since…Kennedy has had to deal with “The Negro Question”. More recently, “The Black Agenda.” Obama never did. Why? He got a free pass because he is Black?! He didn’t pass the civil rights act or the voting rights act! So, let me get it straight, if he does something for Blacks/Latinos, then what does that mean? He favors us? Hell, other presidents did and they weren’t crucified. Why is he afraid of it? while at the same time, appeasing white folks left and right…why? because he feels they are the reason he is in office. When he looks at campaign contributions, he realizes he gets his money from them and will have a job with them after he is done as president…….That is weak ish right there!
U sure me and u are not twins Lol well thinking wise ….Obeezee is soft as Charmin on KKKrackuz especially RepubliKKKlans it’s like he is working 4 them but they want him out of office walking out or carried out, yet wants us 2 stop bitching and ride 4 him again …Pimps and Hoes as I have always said.
I think its just re-election fodder. It’s a almost a year and a month left until Election Day and he is trying to rekindle the embers into the flames they once were. He played Mr. Nice Guy for faaaaar to long.And As we all know nice guys finish last. He should have been saying this six-eight months ago instead of pussy-footing, and trying to stroke the GOP the right way.
I h8 2 say this about my boy President Obeezee but he needs 2 get “gangsta” like George Hitler Bush did whatever the Demoncrats rejected or said no 2 his policies i.e. The Iraq invasion he just said Fuck you I am going anyway who is going 2 stop me !!! As usual Demoncrats and KKKon…gress tucked there tails and continue 2 get punKKKed. Obeezee needs 2 come hard in the paint like MJ23 back in 92 or Iron Mike when he was just 19. Fuck being politically correct and compromising. Let the GOP, RepubliKKKlans, and the Pee Party know aint no punks here in this camp.I can say alot of shit and I usually do ,about Hitler Bitch, Bush, hell it sounds the same Bush, Bitch, but he did not have 2 answer 2 nobody. He was somewhat of a Dickheadtator 4 a hot min. So Obeezee needs 2 say this same stop complaining,stop crying and we have work 2 do song and dance 2 those ppl who r really trying 2 do him in.
I’m not sure what Black folks want him to do? (I’m Black also). What is the Negro Question? He didn’t run a campaign based on race. He ran it on Health care, the wars and the economy fell on his feet.
While fending off bs like Birthers and trying to keep the country a float he has to please one group of people,US? Without seeming to be Racist?How and please explain? I am upset that our community has a + 17% unemployment among the national 9% average. But my question would be what was our unemployment percentage comparative to our white counter parts before the economic downfall? We are the last to get hired and the first to get fired. That has always been the case. Everyone wants him to walk on water,Heal the Sick, And turn water into wine. That was Jesus’s story and after reading more into it I am starting to doubt that story also..
I feel what u r saying nts5 but other Presidents look out 4 their own it’s happened from Day 1 weither it be based on Political party or race or How much money or all the above. Presidents have done 4 their own and thats what AmeriKKKa was fearing that Obama would do but I would never expect him 2 do that or think RACISM would end once he sit foot in office . U think Reagan or Nixon hell or even Bitch xxxcuse me I meant Bush looked out 4 any1 Darker than a napkin Hell 2 the No!!! That’s the problem. The black community was expecting too much from the President. They expected, with mass dillusion, that this was going to be a single act to right all the “white mans wrongs”. They expected for reparations to be handed out. They expected a COMPLEXION CONNECTION totally forgeting that this man is a politician. And no matter what people believe politicians have no color except the color of what they perceive to be RED, WHITE and BLUE and more importantly GREEN.
I was never 1 2 think just becuz he got in office everything was going 2 disappear and all our problems would be solved . If anything it’s more drama since Obeezee is in office. KKKrackuz r pissed this was not suppose 2 ever happen. An African American in the Outhouse and not cooking or cleaning but a President of the Un..United States.
