T.I. Set to Be Release from Prison Thursday (August 31)
SOUND OFF: Is he Still the King of the South?

Its seems like we’ve been here before but believe it or not its been almost a year since T.I. returned to the Forrest City Correctional Facility for violating the terms of his probation. On Thursday, the perennial offender will be released from prison to serve out the remainder of his sentence in a halfway house.
King of the South, Once again, the countdown begins. Originally scheduled to be released September 29, T.I. got some time knocked off punishment stemming from drug charges stemming from a traffic stop that yeiled a bevy of illegal paraphernalia. The charges were later dropped but the rapper was sent back as the police contact was a violation of his previous weapons possession conviction.
Even before he starting serving his last stint, T.I. was singing the redemption song and claiming rehabilitation but he would soon prove otherwise, re-offending shortly after his release. I’m not here to bash T.I. I like the man and honor his struggle. I have a few friends that are either serving or have served time in our justice system and all will tell you that its easier to stay out of the cyclical system than to get out. They have trouble finding suitable employment, staying away from old habits and friends but for T.I. it was different or at least should have been. His fame and yes money should have afforded him opportunities that are not available to ordinary ex-c0nvicts. He needs to follow in the footsteps of Michael Vick and get his life together. Focus on his craft. I’m not sure if he can ever regain the title as “Kang” of the South but at this point, staying clean will suffice.

the 1st time should have been enough 4 Clifford. I don’t know what it is with us as Blackmen but we want that stupid ass street cred but not college cred.He got caught with more ammo than a KKK rally with Pres.Obama as the special guest. He only served 1 year something just aint right as Keith Sweat would say, then goes in again 4 more dumb shit drugs, really? Of all the shit 2 go in 4 a rapper and drugs wow who would have thought. I am in no way knocking dude , he has talent which is my point do something major with it Mr.T.I.Please do not make a “I have learned my lesson” speech just go in the studio T.I. and make some hitz. The Game just might need u. Well who is the next rapper 2 make dummy moves? It’s coming 1 goes out another comes in….I get the feeling Lil Wayne might make a sequel 2 hit last visit. Please PAY THOSE TAXES that’s 1 thing I can say about the IRS(Intentional Revenue Stoppage) they are not racist they want everybodies money black, white, asian, latin, etc woman, man
Hillarious. You’re right the IRS isn’t prejudice. I think your point about him going in for Drugs is key. That ish doesn’t get you any additional street cred. You got caught by making an illegal u-turn with drugs in your whip. That just makes you look stupid not more hood.
So true Juan and who gives a damn about being hood anyway?I used 2 consider myself a street type person but I saw 2 much dumb ish around me and had 2 make that change like MJ R.I.P .I always thought drugs period was hella dumb and then rapping about the shit and pushing weight scarface type ish.Thats Y I stick with the 2PAC’s and Biggie,Big Daddy Kane, the Rakims the L.L.’s the RUN DMC,P.E. NWA GETO BOYS type of music .I do hope T.I. makes it happen 4 real and fuck street cred, by the way no more illegal U turns.
