Forbes Drops Annual ‘Cash King’ / Hip Hop Top Earners List
While Jay & Diddy hold down the top slot as usual, newcomer Wiz Khalifa makes his move

@Forbes @Jayz @Diddy @REALWIZKHALIFA
Man how time flies. Seems like just yesterday that we were discussing the top earners for 2010. But apparently its that time of year again. Yesterday money mag, Forbes released its annual Cash Kings List which not surprisingly had some very familiar faces at the top. According to the magazine, Jay-Z has earned an estimated $37 million in securing the top spot just ahead of Diddy who raked in $35 million, of which half of that fortune was earned through his Ciroc vodka venture. If I’m not mistaken, these numbers are down from last year but considering the economy and the fact neither really had any music out, that’s not surprising. Let me check that out and get back to you. Talk amongst yourselves………………………….. YEP! I was correct, Jay actually amassed $67 million over the same survey period last year and while Diddy also came in second in 2010, some of his wealth was attributed to his role in the movie, “Get Him To the Greek.”
Some surprises and newcomers from this years list? Check out Wiz Khalifa coming in at #11 with $11 Million in earnings. Rumor has it that figure has adjusted to about $10/ hr considering he’s smoked all of the profits. (My bad, corny joke) I’m kind of surprised that Nicki Minaj and Rick Ross were so low on the list with $6.5 Million and $6 Mill respectively considering the year’s they had but goes to show you when others have their hand in your pockets your bread is going to be split like a pizza pie. In case you were wondering I would have made the list but my album aint drop yet.
Here’s the top 20.
1. Jay- Z $37 Million
2. Diddy $35 Million
3. Kanye West $16 Million
4. Lil’ Wayne $15 Million
5. Bryan “Birdman” Williams $15 Million

That pic is an example of why I don’t like “Hip Hop Culture.” Rich Black people are for the most part the only ones who will brag in such a way (throwing money around). 90% of the population struggling like hell to live, just to have the necessities, let’s not even talk any extras, and these mufukas wanna show out like that. Then they wanna complain about “haters.” THEY hating on the rest of us…….SN: I remember when I first started being around Whites, when I went to college. This white kid was buying a car and we were talking about what kind of car he was getting, etc. He said he could buy it cash if he wanted, but wanted to establish credit, didn’t want to spend a large chuck of his money, etc. This kid looked no different than I did (as far as his clothes, what he had in his dorm room, etc)…and since, co-workers and acquaintances who do stuff like bring their lunch from home every day, drive a basic car or take public transportation to work, have big beautiful houses and go on European vacations or sail the Greek islands or something like that…and have krazy money banked!…. But we get some money and wanna shout it to the world……ok, off my soapbox now.
The term to be used is nouveau riche.
Yea. We waste the most money out of any culture. Considering we’re not politicians. I’m in the air force and there are guys I work with loaded from family businesses and things they we’re into b4 they enlisted. You would never know if they didn’t tell you or show a bank statement or something. The$ is there for securityor a cushion to fall back ob if things don’t work out. And they’re not assholes at work either. We just need to get our shit together and stop trying to keep up.
I hope they all pay the tax man. Many others have fell from higher stages of glory…..
