SOUND OFF: Are You Planning To Cop Kanye & Jay-Z’s ‘Watch The Throne’?
If you are, you’ll be one of up to 500,000 who will in the first week.

@jayz @kanyewest
Album release dates used to be the most anticipated events in our lives back in the 90′s. I can remember waiting for weeks for a Jay album to drop, marking it on my calendar, counting down the days, reading up on the track listings, collabos and as a producer at the time, who was responsible for the beats.
In today’s Hip Hop, those days are long gone. In this day of On-Demand media, waiting is not something we enjoy doing so we download the mixtape featuring a bunch of throwaway tracks and by the time an album drops we’ve heard all the good tracks off the album.
So when an album like Jay-Z and Kanye West’s new collaboration album, “Watch the Throne” has generated this much buzz its rare. The project which hits Apple’s iTunes exclusively is projected sell at least 400,000 to 500,000 copies in its first week in the U.S. according to industry prognosticators. (Sidenote: Do you remember when Jay-Z REFUSED to let iTunes sell his music? My how things have changed.) Best Buy will sell the exclusive deluxe physical CD edition of the set from Aug. 12-22, which sports the same four additional songs as on iTunes’ deluxe version.
If those figures are true it would make it the 2nd top selling album of the year only behind Lady Gaga’s 1.1 million opener for “Born This Way.”
So…SOUND OFF: Are you planning to or have already copped “Watch The Throne?”

yup I will be getting it today on itunes and will be at the Chicago concert in OCT.
Hell 2 the Yes !!! I am get’n the physical CD I am still old school at times down-loading is cool but damn there is nothing like reading the credits,etc.As u all know I am all bout that Wesssst Coast but hell good music is good music don’t matter where ur from it’s how u come.Ye and Jay will be making some noise with the collabo.Maybe Hip Hop music will be taken off life support 4 a few weeks .Plus there is nothing like “Grown Folks” music No Lil, no youngs, just artist that stand the test of time.
Yes I will be getting it but I’m not sure if I’ll be getting it from itunes….I know I’m young but I prefer the actual album in my hands rather than a download…I’ve always been that way. Its just something that excites me everytime I buy a new album that I want. I don’t get the same feeling with a download lol. But 2NA$$TEE is right, this album will give Hip Hop an awakening that is needed.
And I’ll be at the concert in Dallas!!!!
Nope
Jay Z has only stayed the test of time cause Tupac died.
I have 2 co sign with u on that 1 playboy. Every Hip Hop artist that came after 2pac and Biggie should thank Suge Knight 4 their careers.
HELL FUKK NO!!! If it was Jay-Z by himself I probably would…But he has dat punk a** Kanye on it so I won’t waste my cash on dat trash…
What we should be addressing is those crazy pics in album liner. I think they’re just phuckin wit the conspiracy theorist but damn. And what’s up wit those little snippets at the end of some songs??
I’m still waiting…I’d rather wait til the hype dies down and really enjoy it without remembering the commentary…I’m a masochist I guess LOL
Classic.
