First Dirty Trick of 2012 Election

Posted by Malcolm

… and it’s ‘old school’

As you know, I’m a big fan of political dirty tricks. Not because it destroys our confidence in a free and fair election of course, but because of the sheer balls involved in screwing your competitor in such a blatant and open way.

So it is with some enthusiasm that I announce our first dirty trick of the 2012 season… and it’s really ‘old school’.

‘Americans for Prosperity’, a conservative PAC run by the infamous ‘Koch Brothers’ has sent out a mailer to democratic districts in Wisconsin, ‘helping’ them to prepare for the upcoming recall election.

But there’s a few problems…

It reminds everyone that they need to send in their ballots by Thursday November 11th… but the election is on Tuesday November 9th.

Also… the address they have you send your ballot to is wrong. Instead of pointing to the real election commission, it points you to a fake and non-existent PO box.

So… if you follow the rules, your vote will be ruled invalid and it won’t be counted.

A rep from Americans for Prosperity is blaming it on a ‘typo’. I guess it’s just lucky that none of these are being sent to their friends, only their political opponents.
