Beyoncé Performs at Macy’s 4th Of July Fireworks Celebration
Beyonce gets off for the 125th Birthday of the Statue of Liberty
@Beyonce
This independence day we got a little added bonus. Not only was it the annual birth celebration of our country but the 125th such for the Statue of Liberty which sits just south of the island of Manhattan where the Mighty Hudson meets the very dirty East River. Its crazy because I can remember having these VIP seats that my dad bought us for the 100th Anniversary. To think that was 25 years ago is crazy.
Anyway, To celebrate Beyoncé took a stage which oddly enough for those who are unfamiliar with the geography was about 4 miles east of where the fireworks took place to perform”Best Thing I Never Had” and “God Bless The USA”. I was waiting for Kanye and his “All of the Lights” but maybe I was the only one who thought it was appropriate.

She really sang on that one, as opposed to most of her songs & videos, in which ,she concentrates more on shakin’ her big half-naked butt in short, tight clothes than actually singing a good, deep meaningful song. PEACE!!!
