WTF?: 50 Cent Pens Novel about Bullying?
Is Hip Hop’s antagonist feeling remorse about his role as the bullying villain?

@50cent
If you had to close your eyes right now and I asked you who was the biggest bully in Hip Hop history, the vast majority of you would respond 50 Cent. Its his persona. The lovable, humorous bully bad guy. So given his vast experience in the role it might not come as a surprise that Curtis’ new book entitled “Playground” is about bullying. The novel which is slated to drop in January 2012 centers around a 13 year old bully who ” finds redemption as he faces what he’s done.”
“I had a strong desire to write ‘Playground’ because I wanted to explore how a kid becomes a bully. I drew on events from my own childhood and adolescence, but was excited to see the story take on its own life. This book would have been very helpful for me growing up and now that I have a teenage son, it is my goal that this will have a positive influence on all teenagers.”
Wait, wait, wait. While I certainly welcome celebrities especially of the caliber as 50 to speak out against bullying especially in light of the unfortunate deaths attributed to bullying but how ironic. I don’t doubt 50 has plenty of knowledge in the arena but for him to author such a title then in the same breath terrorize his fellow rappers is rather counterproductive no? Then again who am I to talk? Highbrid Nation is a walking contradiction.

na, I understand the contradiciton, but business is business. 50 is reaching out to a whole new demographic with this one, and its really a win/win. Hip hop is agressive by definition so being a complete entertainer/person allows rappers to do just about anything. I actually hope he does well with this. I know its all about the money, but rappers talking about more relevant issues is a good thing.
I think you could have left it at its all about the money haha.
lmao… you have to respect the mans grind…
CNT H8 ON DUDE’S HUSTLE LOL
Hip Hop’s #1 bully teaching others not to bully….LMAO! I love it! I can’t wait to read it, 50′s music hasn’t been as good as it was when 50 mania started but I gotta admit he is always entertaining. And anything positive about anti-bullying is always a good thing. Kids these days are very mean and hurtful so whether he’s doing it for his son or money I still applaud him. Hopefully its for his son though lol
Forget mean, they’re straight murderers out here. Half the penal system isn’t event technically old enough to be in there. Growing up way too fast without the tools.
I find this similar to the playboy/ lady’s man who suddenly sees the wrong in what he does when he has a baby girl. You cant have dudes playing baby girl the way played all them other girls. And noone wants to live in a state of hypocrisy.
.
Kids will change your ways….. trust me.
50 had a kid? maybe I’m confused haha.
