Last week we chopped it up about how bizaare it was for Right Wing leaning FOX (Business) News to allow Republican Presidential hopeful former New Mexico Gov. Gary Johnson “debate” a Barack Obama impersonator. The whole thing was so strange it made me shiver.  I mean I know we take politics way too seriously in this country but how can you learn the true measure of a candidate if he’s debating….a clown.

Well apparently, the GOP found it so successful they hired him to poke fun of the President at their Republican Leadership Conference.  Why? I’m still trying to figure that out.  I understand having your own political platform upon which to stand and tearing down that of your opponent but to diss the guy? I’m not exactly sure how that’s productive to the cause.  So it only serves them right when the the Faux-Bama flipped the script and starting slamming Republican champs, Newt Gingrich, Mitt Romney, Tim Pawlenty and Michelle Bachman.

The routine started off pretty well as impersonator, Reggie Brown dissed the President saying that Obama only celebrated half of Black History Month because he is biracial and compared the First Family in the future to that of Fred Sanford and Esther.  But the laughter would later turn to boos as the comedian turned the tides leading to his mic eventually being off.  He was then escorted off the stage (3:35 Video 2) at the GOP event in New Orleans on Saturday.

On Gingrich’s imploding campaign: his consultants were “dropping faster than Anthony Weiner’s pants in an AOL chatroom.”

On Tim Pawlenty:  “It’s unfortunate that Tim Pawlenty couldn’t be here. But cut him some slack. He’s having his foot surgically removed from his mouth. Oh no don’t worry, lucky for him it’s covered under ‘ObamneyCare.’ That along with spinal transplants.”

But Faux-Bama couldn’t get through his joke about Tea Party candidate, Michelle Bachman when organizers hit him with the Sandman Sam, stroke up the music and escorted him off the stage.

Hopefully this spells the end of this very odd silliness of poking fun of the President as a means for political gain.  Lets save that for the late night talk shows and Saturday Night Live.
