SOUND OFF: Should Anthony Weiner Have Resigned?

Well the month long Anthony Weiner Twitpic scandal affectionately known as “Weinergate” has finally come to a close. Earlier today, the Democrat issued what will be his final press conference from the Council Center in Queens, NY. But was it me? He still seems like he has a chip on his shoulder. He didn’t seem at all humbled by the embarrassment and his public humiliation brought on by himself. I guess not because he seemed arrogrant till the very end acting like everyman who was victimized by “the man.”
So it should come as no surprise that his resignation announcement was met with applause and boo’s and a former constituent turned heckler who yelled “Bye bye pervert!” Despite his “indiscretions” SOUND OFF should Anthony Weiner have retired?

Any elected official should know better. All he did was set himself up to be blackmailed. Thankfully the way it came out no foreign power had that chance. Plus he is pretty creepy.
Yeah but let he who has never sent reckless texts or a naughty pic cast the first stone. I’m saying he’s doing what everyone’s doing married or otherwise (Unfortunately true) everyday. He’s just under the spotlight. Look at Tiger. He’s just doing normal dude stuff no?
I wouldn’t call him a sucka per se…I will say in the court of public opinion, he had no other choice. It’s sad to say but, we hold those in higher status to some crazy standards. Right or wrong, I think we can go too far with this “justice for our leaders” thing. At tha same time, aren’t our elected officials smarter than this stupid stuff…a picture, for real!!! I guess maybe when it’s all said and done he should have resigned cause he ain’t clever enough to keep from doin dumb shyt, haha!!!
AW is doing what everyone else does but everyone else isnt in congress. They are also not on capitol hill screaming that we need regulations to prevent a “sex driven” internet. He knows better. If this was a republican AW would have been the first to call for a resignation. He will be back anyway, People are already talking about him being mayor of NY. He needs to kiss some serious wifey ass and come back later.
He is an elected official, there is no need to resign, just keep doing your job and if the people decide to “fire you” then let that happen in the next election. I would never resign over some bullsh#t like that, even if I worked at McDonald’s.
He should have resigned because it shows his lack of good judgment. And, he needs good judgment to do his job, freakishness aside.
