Thoughts on FOX News Using Obama Impersonator in its Presidential Debate?

Posted by Juan

Maybe they GOP should put Plastic Blow Up Dolls on the Primary Ballot as well

@govgaryjohnson @reggiebrownent @BarackObama
FOX was back to its old tricks taking jabs at the President.  Thursday they chose to hire professional Obama impersonator, Reggie Brown to stand in for the President in their nationally-televised presidential debate featuring Republican Presidential hopeful, former New Mexico Gov. Gary Johnson.

“Reggie Brown may be an actor, but what he says tonight will be almost entirely the president’s own words,” said John Stossel of Fox Business News’ Media Matters for America show.

While it appeared that Johnson actually took the “debate” seriously it made the seven minute segment even more bizarre.  I mean why hold a debate when the responses are a canned parody of what the President might say.  This is odd.  Ok I guess we can expect the Republican party to have plastic blow up dolls on the ballot during the Presidential Primary as well.  As we know from Malcolm, they’ll probably get some votes and might even win.

    You’re right, this is strange.

    If it was a comedy show, OK, fair game. All of the comedy shows have an Obama skit.
    .
    But this was just too weird. You’re right, it’s a little hard to lose a debate when your ‘opponent’ isn’t your opponent and you know all of the answers ahead of time.
    .
    But then again, this is John Stossel… he has a history of doing strange fluff pieces.
    .
    Besides, if Johnson was that serious of a candidate, why wasn’t he on the fox republican debate on May 16th.

    • Juan says:

      Yeah but even that Fox Republican debate was rather odd. They spent more time talking about how bad Obama was then how good they possibly could be. yaaaaawn.
      .
      Back to this Obama Impersonator Debate, I think Fox should be forced to put a disclaimer on the bottom of the screen saying, “Don’t Take anything you see on screen seriously. We are a joke.”
