Why Lupe Fiasco Calls President Obama ‘The Biggest Terrorist’
Yet declines to vote to save the Nation Obama’s wrath and certain turmoil

Since day first ascending to the presidency I have warned the Nation, that despite the his historic run and seeming rock star status that it was very important to hold Barack Obama accountable and not to forget he’s still a politician. This week, Lupe Fiasco took my advice to heart.
In a recent interview with CBS News, the emcee had nothing but venom for his fellow Chicago native go as far as to call him the “biggest terrorist.”
“In my fight against terrorism, to me, the biggest terrorist is Obama in the United States of America,” Lupe said. “What’s Trending.” “For me, I’m trying to fight the terrorism that’s actually causing the other forms of terrorism. The root cause of the terrorism is the stuff that you, as a government, allow to happen and the foreign policies that we have in place in different countries that inspire people to become terrorists. And it’s easy for us because it’s really just some oil, which we can really get on our own.”
Although I honor his ability to be outspoken even with his fans probably Obama supporters, I have to temper my enthusiasm given the fast he doesn’t vote. I have long been a believer that one can not complain about the conditions if one doesn’t take the opportunity to change them when he has the ability to do so. Conspiracy theorist alike may think the “system” is rigged and perhaps it is but purposely refusing to stack the deck, hedge ones bets and voice their opinion especially when a strong one exists shows to me a lack of credibility. He really had me listening to where he was going with the whole terrorism bit but in the end it was not to be.
“I don’t vote. No I don’t vote. I don’t get involved in politics. It’s meaningless. To be honest,” said Lupe. “If I’m going to say I stand behind this person and write on a piece of paper that says, ‘yeah I stand for this person,’ then I have to take responsibility for everything he does cause that’s just who I am as a human being. So politicians aren’t going to do that because I don’t want you to bomb some village in the middle of nowhere.”
So curiously when asked what would happen if no one voted at all, Lupe fired back with this very elementary answer.
“Who knows. Let’s try it out and see what happens.”
Its clearly amatuer night. You can’t be a political rapper without understanding basic principal. I’m sorry Lupe, no salute for you. “We don’t believe you. You need more people.”

In a way I can see what he is saying. It obviously doesn’t matter who you vote for, the US is still going to bomb, maim and kill Arabs and Muslims for Israel. They don’t “hate us because we are free”.
He will be on FOX NEWS B4 the day ends, matter of fact he will get his own talk show on the K.K. KLAN channel.
I don’t know Juan, I sometimes share the same confliction concerning the voting process. At he end of the day are we really voting for the BEST person for the office at hand. Or are we voting for the best person person who could raise the most funds, get more advertisment space, and their point across to run for the office at hand. The voting process seems more like American Idol than something that should be taken seriously, it’s not the person who sings the best, but the person who performs and presents the best.
It always seems like the lesser of, or less offensive of two evils to me. But still I consistently vote in that manner, hoping that the person elected will do anything worthwhile, something tangible. Something that all can look back on unequivocally as pushing this country in a positive direction….. but maybe I’m asking for too much……
With Lupe calling President Obama a terrorist, he’s talking out of his ass…. sorta kinda.
To be called a terrorist is very one sided. George Washington, Thomas Paine, & Paul Revere was terrorists in the eyes of King George, Native Americans were terrorists to the Colonists, Nat Turner was terrorist in the eyes of slave owners, Malcolm X’s philosophy was terroristic in the eyes of law enforcement the Nation of Islam and the powers that be, and the Black Panther Party’s actions were terroristic to anyone who opposed it.
So, pretty much you are a terrorist, at a low level, if you aren’t a going to lay down and be rolled over or if you aren’t going to sit quietly with your hand raised and wait to be called on to speak if action is needed….
I think we all know of kid in grade school, or middle school… eww, who had his hand raised so long he soiled his pants while quietly waiting to be called on by the teacher to use the bathroom. That kid could have saved himself a year, or lifetime, of embarrassment and possibly mental, emotional, and physical anguish by going against the norm, taking action and handling his business as needed…. But he would NEVER bring a gun into school and start shooting those who teased him…. So I guess this is irrevlevant.

This system is so broken that the only thing that can fix it, in my opinion, is a revolution. But, we are too busy watching “reality” shows and sports and trying to get our mortgages or car payments out of the red to do anything about it…smh…I dunno, man…I’m just trying to equip my children with the best tools of survival that I can give them before I check out…This is all a shell game, anyway…
LOL, I agree that everyone including the president needs to be held accountable. And so far from what i have seen he has done a good job. Not an A+ job, But that is my Opinion. I would like to see him hold Israel More accountable for their actions. And fight more for alternative energy sources.
But for his health care,economic policies i think he is doing Alright. No it is not perfect but what is. If people don’t vote then they have no say….. period.
At the end of the day Lupe is an entertainer. He needs to be relevant. Unlike most artist his strategy is not about gangster rape or the frivolous rapper talk of cars, diamonds and gold, its about being conscientious. So, he is going to rial everyone up and at the end not be held accountable, which is the reason he doesn’t vote. He will never be able to give an alternative. So why not go for the jugular. While I do not agree with him at least he has people getting to stop and think. Obama is doing what he thinks is ideal. That ideal doesn’t necessarily transcend to the common people.
So I say to Lupe keep at, try to keep them honest, cause come 2012 Obama is going to put Nas, Jay-Z and Wayne back on his apple playlist.
And further thinking on the situation, lets say you vote for Joe Politician of your choice, and he turns out to be a scumbag, a real asshole, hypocrite, liar, cheat, thief, racist, self indulgent prick. And not just personally, but politically. I’m talking a modern day Boss Tweed, do your own research, mixed with Arnold Schwarzenegger, not judging, mixed with Bernie Madoff, still not judging…. just the worst person that could ever be elected in office.

If you do side with having that type of guilt of support would lay heavy on your heart, then voting probably isn’t for you because in the wake of the pasts political debacles the next person you vote for could very well be the type of person described above.
Lupe is my man, however, the things he is saying are kinda comically extreme at best and idiotically insane at worst. The cause of terrorism is people who want to cause TERROR. It underlying politics is more like a catalyst towards increased terrorism. But see the U.S. has a threat of terror because of it’s position in the world. Obama being the biggest terrorist is pure poppycock(going old school on em). I’ve studied a lot of english, he used variations of the word terror five times in that short paragraph, which is a big sign of rambling.

I have read all the comments above and in some way, I can take bits and pieces from you all and agree. I can see why Lupe feels the way he does. For a long time I did not vote for some of the same reasons. The government has control over everything, don’t be fooled! They hatch up all of these so called wars and sell it to the people. Just think of all of the people that die in these wars, it’s never the child of any of these so called leaders of the free world.It is always our brothers,sisters or cousins. Their offspring are born to lead us, the lost and ignorant,the American People! They make deals with these other countries and let them come over and buy all the corner stores(gas stations),liquor stores and everthing else they can get their hands on. The same stores you by your cigarettes and beer from they own it and treat the blacks that are born and raised here like second class citizens. I see it everyday! A lot of you see it and just don’t recognize the things that are happening right under your noses. Keep believing in the system, you will soon find out that it is designed and is working according to the plan that has been made long ago. Well some of that may be true, but people act like the US dnt go around bombing for their own reasons, such as oil and any other natural resource they want to have total control over. I dnt hate our country, just hate some of their ways of doing things and try to justify their reasons for doing their evil acts. Hell, when we go bombing in other countries we as Americans don’t always know the reasons behind it. We go to war with these counties and our gas prices are steady going up. Some of us can remember when gas was $1.29 a gal now its $4.00 since this bs war began.Who do you think is making the money? Damn sure ain’t (yeah I said ain’t) the people. How do you think they are going to be able to do suicide bombings? Hell, America let anybody over here with a couple of dollars. If America wanted “total control”(your words)of natural resources in these countries don’t it seem like we would be running these countries too. Instead we help them establish representive republics where the people can vote and have a voice. And this is where you, and Juan, are missing the point: there is no process. It’s predetermined who is going to be in office. Basically, whomever can raise the most campaign money is going to win. I agree 100% with Lupe. I ask my uncle this question before when I was about 12. I said “If all politicians are dirty then why vote?” He said because you vote for the dog thats goning to bite you not kill you. I couldn’t disagree more with that statment! If they both aren’t respectable man/woman then the American people need not to vote and stand up against the one they voted for when they aren’t doing what they said they were going to do. I blaim every war and every other issue in America on the people because we are the one’s who keep voting in these same old politicians. Republicans and Democrats. I think we need a whole government reform and that will not start with the one’s who are in office. It will start with us.
