Nicki Minaj Admits Her Rap Career Is A Fluke
Acting is her real passion and wants to work with Will Smith and Tim Burton.

If you’re a Green Card carrying official Nation Citizen you already know I have this weird obsession with Nicki Minaj. Not that I think she’s the greatest artist or is the baddest chick but for some reason I’m drawn to want to talk about her. But as she revealed Sunday, in an interview with Entertainment Weekly at the MTV Movie Awards, if she had her way, instead it would have been on the big screen that we would have first been graced with her unexplainable presence. Minaj explained that she has taken lessons, and plans to make her dream and first love to become an actress a reality following her upcoming tour with Britney Spears.
“I went to school to be an actress. I never expected to be a rapper,” she says adding that her successful rap career in fact only happened by accident. It just fell in my lap,” said the rapper. “I would like to get an acting gig. I hope that when I am done with the tour, I can go back and do some acting. That is my long-term goal.”
But as Nicki explain she’s not trying to transition to movies as a part-time, side hustle like most of her peers instead plans to be an award winning actress in the same vain as Will Smith and Queen Latifah before her.
“I want to work with Will Smith, because he’s a very successful rapper-turned-actor and therefore a role model,” Minaj said. “And Tim Burton because I love his crazy imagination. He comes up with these characters that are just so fascinating and the costumes and just creates these whole worlds.”
As we already know that transition from Hip Hop to acting has been made by many but few have expanded their career beyond the usual type cast roles. Mos Def is another that comes to mind but with her stage presence and ability to command the camera in her videos she’s certainly got a shot.

I think that going by the different “characters” that she’s come up with in her rap career, she’ll make a good actress, jus’ my opinion. PEACE!!!

“making it” is making it…it doesn’t really matter how she became famous but she needs to be careful what she does with her fame and her image. It’s not that big of a deal per say but she did a good job on SNL, I’m sure she might be able to ease her way into some acting jobs if she is patient and stays positive.

I feel u Champ , Will Smith has been stack’n movie chedda 4 a loooooooooooooooong time and yes he was mad corny as a rapper. The jam he had that I liked was Summertime. That was the shit, I still bump it. As 4 Nicki going Hollyweird I just hope she keeps the curves.In Hollyweird they tend 2 try and make u lose that cake.Examples…J.LO Jennifer Hudson,Kim K.Raven Simone. I could go on and on till the break of dawn but I won’t.I feel she would do great as an actress with the right part not no stupid type cast bullshit.Action or some way out Tim Burton flick would do the trick.
