T.I. Charters Bus for Families of 14 Fellow Inmates at His Prison
His fans may have turned their back it hasn’t stop his philanthropic spirit

@TIP
While most are pretty disappointed in T.I. failing to make the most of his second chance it hasn’t turned the Atlanta emcee cold on his philanthropic and benevolent ways first sparked prior to his first jail stint and publicized on the MTV “Road To Redemption” reality show. Over the weekend, TIP sponsored a bus trip for 46 family members to visit the 14 fellow inmates at the Forrest City Correctional Facility in Forrest City, Arkansas.
Branded the “To See a Love One,” family and friends boarded a chartered bus in Atlanta and Alabama on Saturday and visited the prison over the weekend.
“I’ve been blessed to receive tons and tons of mail from my fans, family and friends, as well as get visits on a regular basis. Unfortunately some guys aren’t as fortunate,” T.I. said in a statement obtained by MTV News. “There are a lot of good dudes in here that haven’t been able to see there loved ones in years. Their families can’t afford the trip so I wanted to help out.”
T.I. is in the midst of an 11 month prison stint for a probation violation when he and his wife were arrested in Los Angeles for a driving violation and charged with drug possession. L.A. authorities eventually dropped the charges against Tip, but he was found in violation of his probation and thus sent back to the Forrest City facility.

The road to hell is paved with good intentions. SMH……T.I. is a Dave Chapelle “when keeping it real goes wrong skit” in true life. I hope he figures out a game plan while he’s incarcerated, he can and has helped alot of people.
Very quality assessment there. I think your analogy hits it right on the head.
I really don’t think he has a philanthropic spirit. He’s made two big mistakes and he’s trying to balance out, sins and deeds. I mean I certainly didn’t believe he was doing cocaine. But I’m not here to judge his actions. Most importantly you can’t really count how the fans are reacting, as turning there backs on him. He promised to change and live his life better, and he got back in trouble immediately. He lied and he’d be a foul to believe some fans wouldn’t leave.
Turning your back on someone isn’t necessarily a bad thing. Sometimes we need people to turn our backs on us so we can improve and conversely we need to turn away from others who we just can’t help. I think his fans like you said have been deceived and its the old “fool me twice” adage.
Well that was a good deed he did but he has a bigger problem on his hands. T.I. HAS 2 strikes against him no 1 more and he in 4 at least a quarter century.The Feds will be watching his ass from now on real close so T.I my suggestion 2 u is no reality show, no speeches about how u now c the light, no raps about Guns go quitely 2 a studio and make bangin ass music.
I could be wrong but he has a few strikes from his rubberband man days. I think that three strike thing refers to drug convictions, I’m no criminal so I don’t know though.
Juan he is black so 3 strikes is 3 strikes regardless if he steals lemonheads out of the corner store ….it’s toss salad time.Lindsay Cokehead,Charlie Sheen,and Paris “No Hills” Hilton should have been in alooooooooooong time ago serving a quarter cent. but they have the complexsion 4 the protection.
Sometimes you wonder are these genuine intentions or for show… i heard an interview where he said he shouldn’t go to jail because of all the good he does for others(not the exact wording, along those lines)… if he actually put his heart behind his good actions he will see a change in his situation….
Meh. If that’s the case stop sippin Lean in the whip making U-Turns with your girl whose equally as wrong for not telling him to fall back.
I think that you are all correct, especially Juan, I dont think the fans turned their backs as much as calling bull#*it on his (T.I.’s) behavior. There’s a certain amount of immaturity involved in being mad cause somebody’s mad at or not talking to you. 2nastee is right though, homie needs to go right to the lab when he get out and stay out the spotlight. I think he might need a mentor or something………..
I know its acting but I was watching T.I. in ATL the other day an his character was basically telling Evan Ross’ character to stop doing the exact knucklehead behavior that he keeps getting pinched for. Ironic.
