[RANT] Cops Fired, Wrist Slapped Although Acquited of Raping Drunk Woman
When will the legal system defend the people rather than the people failing to defend the people?

The NYPD fired two Manhattan cops today. Shocking in and of itself given that it rarely happens especially in public cases of misconduct. Yet such was the fate of Officers Kenneth Moreno and Franklin Mata who just hours prior were actually acquitted of rape.
Both men were found not guilty of raping a drunk woman they’d been called to offer assistance to. Though acquitted on the charge of rape the men were found guilty of official misconduct entering the woman’s apartment three times without alerting their superiors.
“The charges that these officers were convicted of are enough to kick them out of the NYPD, which we’re moving to do,” Mayor Bloomberg told The New York Post.
“The guilty verdict reached today involved a violation of the officer’s oath of office and merits immediate termination,” Police Commissioner Ray Kelly told reporters at a press conference today, according to the Daily News, “Both officers will be terminated today.”
The former PD officers will be sentenced on June 28th and face up to two years in prison. Sounds like they’re getting off light. A compromise of sorts if I had to guess. Its like the system’s saying: “Ok, they screwed up, got carried away and these horny officers took advantage of their power and shield and raped this drunk woman but we’ll throw you a bone and convict on the conduct and give them their walking papers. They’ll probably do 90 days suspended to community service and probation and get a civilian gig.”
Just another case of NYPD throwing its weight around. If I were the Crips I’d just change my color because NYPD has the blue on lock. They outnumber the gangs, terrorize law abiding citizens, do dumb ish like rape, lie, steal and kill and rarely ever get punished. Its all in the name of “the job”. Unbelievable.
I’m not a cop hater by any means, my best friend is a cop. I just don’t like seeing people taken advantage of. These officers were somehow acquitted of all other charges including burglary and falsifying records despite the fact that one of the officers being caught on tape admitting to using a condom when having sex with the woman. But somehow the crafty defense attorneys were able to convince the jury that the woman was too drunk to be a witness but sober enough to consent to sex. So we’re admitting a rape took place but saying she was too drunk for it to be admissible, SMH. I guess we’ll chalk it up to “official misconduct”. Next time ladies when you call 911 for help just make sure you have plenty of condoms on stash just in case.
The only way these trends will stop is when someone actually gets pinched big time for doing dirt. Instead the risk/reward is so low, play the percentages and as a cop you win every time.
A demonstration to protest the acquittal is slated for later today (May 27) from 5-7pm In front of the Manhattan Criminal Court . There’s also a “PROTEST THE ACQUITTAL OF TWO NEW YORK CITY COPS FOR RAPE” Facebook page to raise awareness. No word on if this has drawn enough press to dust off Captain African America.

White is Right! Pac said it, its a white mans world. Damn shame but how many time have we seen law enforcement do whatever it pleases to minorities and nothing “real” ever happens. I’m tired of useless protests…….double jeopardy prevents them from being tried again anyway……we need a new Huey Newton…….SMH
The funny thing is we make assumptions about the victim. Truthfully I’m not sure what race she is. Victims rights prevent her identity from being fully revealed but we assume.

What we do know now however is that it really don’t matter what color the officer is, they’re all cri…NYPD at the end of the day.
Must be a new cop thing. Same thing happened here in chicago. Two hispanic cops raped a drunk girl they were supposed to be helping on the northside. Weakass motherfuckers.
The victim is a white Gap Exec.
All things said if you followed this trial there are holes in everyones story. You guys have to remember in order for the jury to convict these guys they has to be no doubt.
Major doubt (1) She didn’t remember anything.
Major doubt (2) She didn’t remember being raped or having sex.
Major doubt (3) No DNA evidence.
Major doubt (4) entrapment – She was only able to get this trial after
she harass him and he confessed to having sex with
her.
Personally I think its to easy for a men to be put to tried over rape cases. Yes I know it happens often, Yes I know its a major problem, but all a woman has to do is say ” He Raped Me” and you got handcuff on and you need to defend yourself.
Anyway without a reasonable doubt these guys shouldn’t be convicted no matter how you feel about cops. Also their lives will never e the same in the publics eyes they are rape cops with or without a conviction.
Since this was a white woman and they were KKKracka boys does this make it a White on White crime? KKKops will cunt…10you 2 do this type of behavior until there is a major law put in place that makes these KKKops act right.We have seen this waaaaayyyyy b4 the Rodney King thing as a society.Who watches the KKKops? The power of the Law is that it applies to everyone. This means that the rules apply to the police as much as they do to the homeless man living on the street. When we create a class of people who (by nature of their birth, their wealth, their color, or their profession) are above the law, we destroy the glue that holds society together.
Not surprised, dirty ass fuckin pigs, if they do go 2 prison n thats a big if, they shud put ‘em in gp, fuck solitary, I’m sure sum sweet convicts wud luv these 2 shitheads, lol, I got PD fam, they’re kinda snobby kuz they have a badge n shit, but, a dirty cop shud b treated like the “criminals” they arrest n what a fuckin disgrace these 2 r 2 the latino community.
