Dad Hires Drake For Son’s Bar Mitzvah after Kanye West Asked for $1 Million

Posted by Juan

That’s one of the G.O.O.D. problems…

@KanyeWest @DRAKKARDNOIR
Have you ever watched that MTV show MY Super Sweet 16 where these spoiled rich kids get these disgustingly exorbitant birthday parties?  Imagine if that show was about bar mitzvahs?  How crazy would that be.  A bunch of spoiled snot nosed 13 year old Jewish kids getting grossly expensive gifts like cars they can’t even drive yet and having their favorite hip hop acts surprise their guests.

Such was the case for 13-year-old Andrew Zucker, son of former NBC chief, Jeff Zucker who paid Drake $250,000 to perform but only after Kanye West, his first choice demanded a cool $1 million.  The bar mitzvah which was held at New York’s Four Seasons Hotel Saturday.  Zucker offered $800,000 for a set from Kanye, but was forced to settle for Drake, when the diva wouldn’t his demands.

Some might argue, hey Kanye’s price is his price.  He’s earned his right to charge what he wants.  The problem is earlier this year, “Ye performed a 30-minute set at the 16th birthday party of artist George Condo’s daughter.  Then there was the time late last year when Kanye treated Delta passengers to an impromptu set featuring tracks “The Good Life” and “Gold Digger” over the PA system on a flight from Minneapolis to New York.  So what gives?

    I’m going to incorporate Mr. Bad Guy as a “brand”, Juan you are going to have to pay me 50 vietnamese dongs for every post here on Highbrid Nation…. And I also require a weekly bowl of lime green M&Ms, oriented in such a manner that I see no W’s, E’s, or 3′s and someone to rotate said bowl so that no matter where I am, I see only M’s……

    This guy is fucking crazy….maybe he would deserve that amount around the time of “Late Registration” but now he is on the trailing end of his career…..He should have taken the 800 grand and shut the hell up……

      We’re all family here, but I wouldn’t talk too loud outside about your desire for 50 dongs…lol (j/k)

    Who in their right mind would have declined $800k?!! Kanye is so fucking stupid!!! Thats alot of paper!!! I’m sure Drake is wondering why he didn’t get offered that much! LOL….shit $250k is alot of paper too though….if only I were a rapper lol…

    A Million dollars is too much but I’m definitely asking for top dollar to do a private party for some rich people, especially if the father was running NBC, f#ck that. You are obviously being used to pump up the status of the party, it’s not like doing a concert for kids that are “real” fans in the hood listening to your music to help them get through the day. I’m going for a half-million with expenses paid, please.

  8. NoLoveInTheCity says:

    I think Mr. West may have had some personal issue going on with this guy in the past. Why else would anyone pass up on such easy money? It’s basically a F U pay me move…

    When he broke in a couple of years, with the IRS on his ass, the Marshalls at his front door evicting his broke ass and the Repo man loading up his cars onto the tow trucks, that Nigga gonna wish he would have done it! … Not hatin, jus sayin! … Well, maybe hating, jus a little, LOL!

    I’m thinking that Kanye didn’t want to do it, but if they were willing to pay him a the crazy price he would have. I don’t even think it was about the money. I see nothing wrong with him charging whatever he pleases. It’s just basic supply and demand. The guy wanting kanye obviously has the money to pay, but he went with the cheaper option.

    I’d probably do the same thing if some joker tried to hire me for his kids birthday party. Seriously, you think a grown man wants to perform for some spoiled kid that gets everything he wants?
