Jay-Z Covers Delta’s SKY Magazine, Appeals to Business Travelers for 40/40 launch
No longer an urban legend, can Jay-Z’s brand power seduce business travelers to buy overpriced Martinis in an airport layover?

On the surface you might think why the hell is this dude on Delta’s in-flight magazine. But when you dig deeper you realize its all part of Jiggaman’s diabolical plan. Sure, Yeah you’ll read why the collaborative effort between he and Kanye West, Watch The Throne flopped.
“Now it’s a big thing to get in the studio. It’s like a process just to get there. And once I’m there, I have to dial into an emotion.” Jay also notes that ‘Ye, still on an innovative high from the success of My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy is, “in an extraordinarily creative place,” impeding his ability to focus solely on one project.
Yeah, yeah, yeah Jay. You’re really explaining yourself to the lame business traveler who forgot to bring reading material with him on his flight to Atlanta. SURE! I’m hip to your game. You think we forgot that you just launched your brand new fleet of airport sized 40/40 clubs in several terminals throughout the US? COME ON SON!
While they might never read the article, business travelers will be compelled to stop into his 40/40 for a drink somehow being subconsciously compelled by a subtle brand reminder from their last flight located in the seat pocket in front of them. I love it. Branding at its finest.
