What Happens When Frustrated White People Antagonize Police
Maybe police don’t inherently hate black folks, just the dumb ish we do more frequently than white folks? Food for thought.

For a while now we’ve been having this debate as to if the black folks have been unfairly targeted by police. Hell, this debate has been going on for hundreds of years. But we’ve been lead to believe that this type of thing ONLY happens in the black community. A few days ago, I posted a story about a passerby who got arrested after making a sly remark to police while detaining a completely unrelated person.
I think we would all agree, despite what you believe about the Police’s intentions in that case, that the man handled himself in appropriately and was subsequently dealt with. Regardless of what we believe about Police and how they “manage” one neighborhood with respect to others, there is a way to deal with “authority”… Authority being the operative word. One must respect their position and the fact that their JOB is to throw your ass in jail if you give them lip. The reason why white folks, check that, people living in more affluent neighborhoods are rarely arrested in these fashions IS because there isn’t the level of tension between the community and the police. Without this stress, less arrests, less reason for a otherwise minding their business pedestrian to become frustrated and want to get in a cops face. But if there WAS such reason…believe you me, it doesn’t matter what color you are you’re ass is seeing central booking if you act in that fashion.
Don’t believe me? Take the video above which was passed on to me by Malcolm (Highbrid Nation since 2008) of a C level white liberal talk show host at a town hall meeting. She makes the same mistake and the gets dealt with in the cops reacting the same way with the white woman as they did that black male. She starts getting rowdy at about 3:41.
“Get your hands off me!”? Really?! Yeah, if you say that to NYPD or Barnie Fife from Podunk PD you’re probably gonna get locked up. So while Black folks, check that, poor folks are more predisposed to be in such situations its more about geography and the historical relationship between the community and police that makes such incidents more frequent than it anything about skin color with respect to each particular incident.

Okay, but I have seen white guys act the fool and the police be all nice, like, “Mr. White, please, calm down…” …. a white co-worker was giving me a ride home after work one night and made an illegal turn, gets pulled over and gets out of the car, before the cop even comes over to his car, screaming at the cop that the sign was in a bad place, couldn’t see it, blah, blah….I’m thinking, “Oh, sh*t, we going to jail tonight.” … the officer did just what I said above…. what is the first thing you see cops do when they pull someone over and the person opens their car door? They go for their gun and scream at them to stay in their car…cops do whatever they want and apparently the only people who get the benefit of the doubt and don’t get pummeled when they are out of line are white people (not to say that all white people don’t get it, but the only people who don’t get it are White).
But don’t forget the old white granny who got maced on camera when she decided to fight the cop over a traffic ticket.

The answer is pretty simple: the cops are scared of black people; so they treat them with more caution.

Although… If I have to hear about another black dude pulled over because his windows were tinted too dark, I think I will chew glass.

Malcolm’s right. I think my point was not to say its fair, it certainly isn’t. Instead to say that there is some ish that we can’t say or we’ll end up in the clink, regadless of who you are. Sure White folks get a little longer leash but do trust if you reach a line, doesn’t matter who you are.

I agree with the overall sentiment. The police will beat anyone down, they are just faster to go after a Black or Hispanic because they have their guards up faster. They are EXPECTING resistance because of the aggressive racist nature they approach us with. I’m usually extra polite and “yes, sir; no, sir” with cops to try and have them bring their guard down. All minorities need to have a talk from their older brother, uncle or parents on how to talk to the police and if you haven’t had that talk, you just did.
