[RANT] Weak Willed, Obama Gives in to ‘Silliness’, Releases Birth Certificate

As a former baseball player I know there’s such a phenomenon as “sinking to the level of your competition.” We see it happen all the time. The defending world champion is in a dogfight with the last place team. Inferior underdogs overacheiving and forcing the favorite to the brink. More often than not however the champion pulls it out because his talent wills him to victory but sometimes in the case of boxing or the NCAA tournament or politics it doesn’t quite work out that way. The negativity begins to roll on itself and momentum builds and the masses turn against you.
So that’s why I was extremely surprised and dare I say disappointed yesterday when President Obama ordered his White House aids to release a copy of his birth certificate in the wake of the Donald Trump lead “birther” scandal. Citing a need to end all the silliness being reported by the media, the information was released to the public in the wake of years of speculation that he was born outside of the country.
But just yesterday I PRAISED the President for IGNORING such “silliness” and I think, no I know this is a huge mistake. Barack Obama is a black man. He’s also the President. For some people this is a strange phenomenon and has presented a huge conundrum. How do I follow a leader who, forget his skin color, I wouldn’t even respect if he were my neighbor. Its hard to accept a man with the middle name “Hussain” is YOUR President. Its hard to accept that his ancestors are “savages” from the motherland and probably don’t wear clothes, spear their dinner and wear bones in their noses and have AIDS because they can’t afford condoms and are uneducated about sexually transmitted disease. Of course we know this isn’t true but this is the imagery his critics put out there and the mindless radicals follow.
My question is what’s next? We already talked about Trump’s conquest to unveil this mysterious poor educational background. Will he next release his transcript? Maybe he’ll be forced to prove he’s not a hermaphrodite? Is he the Manchurian Candidate? Maybe he’s sleeping with Lindsay Lohan? No, I know, He’s actually a closet terrorist and his codename is Osama Bin Ladin. Can you see it, put a beard on him and…..no? Its all silliness. No its all a distraction. A distraction that despite what political party you belong to or political ideology you subscribe to only prevents this country from getting back on track. We have become a blog society. Sites far cooler than the Nation have sensationalized EVERYTHING! Now even the President’s subjected to our On-Demand, social networking, gossip blogging society. Enough. Lets get back to work.

Man, I’m wit’chu Juan!!! I found out yesterday because a friend of mine on facebook was praising our President for releasing his birth certificate and “shuttin dem haters up”. I was so pissed when I read it. Maybe tha pres is tryin to appease some voters but, at the end of tha day, he should have made a statement about it being childish and if he really wasn’t of US birth then he wouldn’t be in office!!!
