OR. Congressman Asked To Step Down After Pill Popping, Tigger Costume Emails

Aint nothing like a bizarre story to cap the work week. The U.S. House of Representatives is asking its first Chinese-American member in history to step down after he displayed some erratic and perhaps mentally incompetent behavior. Newly re-elected Oregon Representative David Wu (D) reportedly emailed the above picture to his entire staff just days before he was re-elected. Clearly under the influence of something, his staff members have also reported frequent use of pain medication leading to his colleagues in the house to suggest he resign to seek help.
Sobered up however, the congressman went on Good Morning America and told George Stephanopoulos he was under immense pressure during election time and that all of the behavior he exhibited was completely “unprofessional and inappropriate” and he regrets all of it. He has sought professional help.
Clearly there was some mental distress here so I won’t poke TOO MUCH fun of this but it is very bizzarre. The saddest part of the whole ordeal is here you have the VERY FIRST Chinese-American to be elected to the House and he goes off the deep end. Its one thing to get caught sending lude pictures while sexting but to personally email photos of you dressed as a Winnie the Pooh character to all your staff, you know something wasn’t right.
The first thing that comes to mind is those stories about the Furry Lifestyle people who get off sexually by dressing in those character/mascot costumes. Some would engage in like sexual acts and masturbation while dressed up or watching cartoons. I pray this wasn’t the case. I don’t think this country could handle that right now.

What would you do if your co-worker showed up to work poppin’ pain pills and sending you e-mails of himself dressed up as Tigger? After all of that has been witnessed, surely they’re saying, “Hey! What’s a Congress to do?”
Being a congressman representing a whole state is not a laughing matter. It’s a position of prestige that shouldn’t be taken lightly, especially when you’re the first Chinese American to hold such a position.

He has set Chinese Americans back at least 2 weeks. It’s always one that ruins it 4 every 1 else. What if he was not on that shit , what if he is really crazy 4 real.
So he dressed up like Tigger, so what?! I’m not seeing the big deal in the photo itself. Now if he has painkiller pill popping issues, then he can deal with that but this just doesn’t seem like a big deal to me unless the Tigger costume is crotchless or there is an intern down there while he has his hands up.
You’re right, but it’s the whole hypocrisy that is so prevalent. Nobody is perfect and we all have momentary lapses in judgment (as evident by Mr. Bad Guy’s pic above, LOL)…If it is a substance abuse problem, there is help for that. I would say MOST of those people on capitol hill have one vice or another…don’t open the books, open the closets!
You guys are missing the point not only is he pill popping (or was) but HE SENT the photos of himself dressed as T-I-Double Grrrr Errr to his entire staff at the House. In some corporate environments you get fired for sending ANY email that isn’t work related.

I guess I’m just trying to make light of the situation…I think they should get to the bottom of it and allow him to get the help he needs. Just because he is a little off or on some ish, doesn’t mean he can’t do the job. The country is in the trouble that is in because so many of the lawmakers on Capitol Hill are not doing their jobs properly. What’s their excuse?
Maybe he was doing it to “fit in”. Or maybe he was tryna to show that he is tryna lighten his load. Or maybe he was doing it bc he HAD to do it; tryna fit in to the specific club. It seems many people who are in high places or that have mucho public view/appeal always do somethjing out of character b4 they are forgiven and move on to get money and even higher status..
And besides.. who isnt on pain pills these days??! Big Pharma is ur pusher!! They got what u want and much of THAT u DONT NEED.
