Is Lebron’s Mom in Boston With Delonte West For Valentines Day?
Low blow by Detroit Fan or All’s fair in the war of words?

@KingJames
During a timeout at Friday night’s win over the Detroit Pistons, Miami Heat superstar LeBron James had a brief verbal exchange about his mom’s Valentine’s Day date. Perhaps frustrated by the recent lead openned up by Jame’s Heat, a fan from the front row yelled down
“Is your mom going to Boston for Valentine’s Day?”
Ouch! The fan of course making reference to the allegations that former teammate Delonte West was sleeping with his mother last season leading to his poor performance in the playoffs. Lets pause for a second. Did Lebron
A) Ignore the Fan
B) Give him the middle finger
C) Politely tell the fan that’s not cool
or
D) Go Ron Artest and jump into the crown proceeding to beat the fan senseless?
Well if you selected C you’d be correct. James semi-politely responded
“I don’t give a fuck what you say about me, don’t be disrespectful. That’s all I ask.”
The fan was warned by security but not removed. My question is where do we draw the line. We all asked the same question following the “Malace at the Palace” Basket-brawl when Ron Artest jumped into the stands at this same Palace at Aurburn Hills in Detroit. It’d be unfair to say that only Detroit fans are this harsh but we’ve gotta remember these are human beings playing a game. In the spirit of competition they’re very charged up and looking to exert all their energy on defeating their opponent. When a fan randomly injects themselves into that equation is not reasonable for a player to react?
Would those not be fighting words in the street if someone said that about your mom? So why do we expect these athletes to hold their tongue? Because their making millions? Ok I get that. Restraint is part of the job but why then would we allow the disruptive party to continue to enjoy the game? Should he have not been ejected?

Yea that is wrong…they should of threw him out… plus that fan is a idiot… lebron is all of 6’8 260… i mean thats not a fight a average joe would want to be in….its crazy ppl are really upset that he left the cavs, but half of yall assholes weren’t cavs fans b4 him… not never…so enjoy the man playing basketball… wherever he chooses to play… can’t wait to see if he gets boo’d all star weekend…
yeah that clown should have been thrown out, lebron made the right choice by not going HAM on him lol. fans at these games seem to think they can say whatever they want and not have to worry about any consequences. i don’t care where lebron plays and i didn’t care that he went to miami. he’s a good player that was on a team that couldn’t get over that last hump. oh well, get over it, and move on. quit bashing him and making negative comments about his mother. thats hoe shit.
Let us close our eye and imagine if that comment was said to one of the following athletes..ready?
Terry Tate
Ron Artest
Chris Childs
Latrell Spreewell
Charles Oakley
Anthony Mason
I like the way Lebron handled the situation, it had an air of maturity and showed him to be the bigger man. because if he did got Artest on him then he would have got a suspension and the fan would probably play the victim and begin a lawsuit.
Mom plz don’t sleep with my teammates and friends….I get the fan thing just ignore him az best u can cuz u fight him ur going down but his mom is dead wrong
