[RANT] What Diddy SHOULD HAVE Bought instead of A 2nd Baybach For His Son

Posted by Juan

Sure, Justin deserves a reward for good grades but $390,000 could have bought a woman begging for his help a lot more.

@IamDiddy
Very rarely do I write two consecutive stories about the same subject let alone two that are in someway related but follow my logic.  If you haven’t read the preceding post about Diddy being responsible for 9/11 I encourage you to do so first… Did it? Ok…good.

So often here at the Nation we clown cats like T-Pain for buying 6 figure diamond encrusted chains with all types of bullshit hanging off them.  Its no secret that next to heavy metal and their coke addictions, Hip Hop probably spends the most amount of their grossly over-paid salary on garbage as opposed to doing something positive with it whether it be for selfish reasons like investing or philanthropy, like giving to charity.

Case in point.  Lets examine Master Justin Combs.  We all grew up laughing at the antics of one young Carlton Banks for his privileged lifestyle and corny ways.  But when you think about it has Justin lead so different of a life? For his 16th birthday his pop’s Mr. Diddy Combs gave him a Maybach and hand delivered “Papapapa-pink Wig Thick Ass, Give ‘em Whiplash” Nicki Minaj as his date and now at 17 he’s copped him the upgraded $390,000 limousine version.

“Justin has turned himself around and is now an honors student, which he wasn’t before, so I wanted to treat him,” Diddy explained of the lavish gift. “It’s a collector’s car, so maybe he will use it for special occasions like on a first date, but like all my kids, he prefers the simpler things than the expensive things. Simple tastes.”

Simple tastes…riiiiight.  My point here is not to expose my obvious controlled jealous for such luxuries but instead to point out the contrast in the past two stories.  In the first we have a single mother whose suing Diddy for 1 Triiiiiiilion Dollars (Dr. Evil Voice) for paternity and claims that he physically abused her son to the point where he’s in a wheelchair.  When in fact the son has the congenital scoliosis disease and the mother is mentally disturbed.

I’m not saying Diddy should pay Dr. Evil’s ransom but instead it points out how Hip Hop continuously misses tremendous opportunities for good.  Instead of changing his name again or running in the marathon with some silly (yet trend blazing) mohawk why doesn’t Diddy set the new precedent of helping others.  Despite this ladies mental capacity I bet she’s in some way supported one of Diddy’s many business ventures.  I’m not saying we all deserve retribution but we all have a responsibility to help our brothers and sisters and the privileged with enough dough on hand to buy “a Maybach a year have even more so.  So Diddy if you’re listening…Do the right thing.  Hell, I don’t care if you invite the MTV cameras and the press to watch you do so.  Maybe you’ll start a trend and everyone will follow suit.  That wouldn’t be such a bad thing.

I hear ya, Juan, and it would be great if he did what you say…but that would invite every nutcase in the country to follow suit…and nobody wants to deal with that.

  2. Mr. Bad Guy says:

I dont want to tell anyone what they should do with their money, just as I dont want anyone to tell me what I should do with mine….. but for a 17 year old to “have” almost 3/4 million dollars worth of cars is ridiculous….
    .
You know what I got when I got good grades in high school? Instead, I’ll tell you what I didn’t get, I didn’t get my ass whipped for failing….. lesson learned.

    • Chelle says:

I hear that. My daughter(14) and I read the two stories together and we high fived. We saw that boys sweet 16 and we both agreed that it was ridic! As for grade rewards…that’s also the way I got it and the way she gets it.

      • Mr. Bad Guy says:

My son even asked about allowance once, I gave him the half hour Julius from “Everbody Hates Cris” rant on what I allow him to do, ending with how I allow him breathe without sharp stabbing pains….. smh kids today!!!

        • E.L.Diaz says:

I can’t take credit for this one, I heard it somewhere…I told my son once, when I thought I noticed a hint of rebelliousness, “Boy, get your attitude straight, who do you think you talking to? You used to live in my testicles!” LMAO!

    • Juan says:

That’s why I have so much respect for you.

  3. gphi says:

I feel you Juan, Diddy could at least offer to help the lady get the mental help that she needs. PEACE!!!

  4. Ray says:

Good point Juan! Man, there are so many lessons to learn here……..compassion,humility,forgiveness and charity, just to name a few. People have a right to live life as they see fit, but what if?

  5. Mississippi Mandingo says:

I can’t say I hate to get spiritual on you but, God gives some people the gift of wealth. And he wants those who have it and those who don’t to service and help other people who r in need of a blessing. It’s people here in this great country who are hungry, homeless, and living in poverty who need a blessing. I hope he is using some of the gifts God has given him to bless other people.

    • E.L.Diaz says:

I look at it the same way. We don’t really know what people with money do with their money and in reality it’s not up to me to regulate it or judge them for how they choose to spend it…but it’s kind of disappointing and even disheartening to see multi-millionaire athletes and entertainers spend their money so carelessly, while, like you say so many in this country are hungry and homeless. I’ve been both and by God’s Grace, I am not anymore. But I certainly know how it feels…then to see someone with so much money buy a kid a second car that is worth more than a quarter of a million dollars…it’s sickening. A quarter of a million can buy five decent houses for five struggling families who may not ever be able to afford to own their own home because of a legacy of poverty that has been passed down to them and they may not know how to stop the cycle. But a gesture like that may give them the hope they need and jumpstart their lives…that may be 50 people or more immediately touched by doing that, not to mention how it may affect the kids’ futures…and that is just with one car…buy that kid a damn Honda Civic!

      • Ray says:

LMAO!!! Yep….or a Prius! Would it be wrong to deny your children the benefits of your labor, in an effort to push them to learn self sufficiency? And I’m not talkin bout totally denying them access, but giving them the incentive to build a life for themselves.
