SOUND OFF: Why Is Today’s Youth So Sexually Stimulated
Amid a report that California second graders engaged in in-classroom oral sex, clearly there’s something wrong

What is going on with the Youth of America! Kids are having sex younger and younger and their hormones are raging out of control from the age they start elementary school. When I was growing up girls were gross. Now a days kids go straight from their first steps to they’re first blow job its ridiculous. I’ve been saying it for years, that Similac and the hormones and drugs we’re injecting in these mutant chicken breasts and genetically altered vegetables causing these kids sex drives to rage out of control. Hell they’ll probably be a study that comes out that says cell phones and bluetooth devices increase sex drive 60%.
Just in the last few weeks there have been a whole gang of news stories involving very young students and sex. There was a report that more than 90 high school-aged females at ONE Memphis area high school got pregnant in the same school year. In Colorado, a teacher was fired and brought up on charges boning a student in her car. Then last week an Oakland elementary teacher was suspended after two sperate incidents were reported of her second grade, YES SECOND GRADE students successfully engaging in oral sex while in a classroom. According to KCBS “In one case, several students apparently took off their clothes and were naked in the classroom,” and in the other, “a boy and a girl reportedly engaged in oral sex in front of their students” all while the teacher somehow was present in the classroom.
So my question is what the hell is going on? I don’t have kids and I don’t want to sound like one of those old bastards that’s totally unconnected with the youth of today. But when I commute on the train and hear these elementary school students talk about “giving head” and “teabagging” during lunch clearly something is different with this generation? Are their jeans to tight that the lack of oxygen flow to their testicles is causing increase libido? I kid, but seriously this is a crisis and a trend that if unturned could become epidemic. Is it the existence of free porn on the net? Perhaps the internet in general? Increased sexual content on television and the movies? Lack of parental supervision? SOUND OFF: Why do you believe today’s youth is so sexually stimulated at such a young age?

I dunno man! I was 12 the first time I kissed a girl and I ran home soooo excited! lol! It’s most likely a combination of all the things you mentioned. The availability of it and people disensitization to sex are key. It’s no big deal…and with the prevalance of single parent households, the one parent working long hours and the kids not being supervised properly, or, the 30 year old mother of the 15, 14, and 12 year olds still wants to get her groove on and the kids contine to see man after man coming through the door…
While being a little younger than E.L. when I had my first kiss,(10 years old, summer camp, roller coaster ride at Rye Playland, I dont remember her name, I think it started with an “A”, it felt spectular), I feel that I was always aware of the opposite sex. But with that said, there wasnt an influx of females out there willing to have SEX, mostly because, I feel, we didnt know what sex really was. I knew that I liked a particular female but, it wasn’t “sexual”.

But now-a-days, sex is EVERYWHERE. Even so called “childrens television shows” have sexual overtones and suggestives. As E.L. said it’s “The availability of it and people disensitization to sex”. It’s T.V., radio, movies, advertisements, EVERYTHING!!!!

As a father I’m watching though. Watching what my kids watch, watching the things they say, watching what their friends say. Waiting for the little nuances that tell me that they are aware…. Waiting for that precise moment to intervene… It may not be pretty, but it will be effective.

It’s a little of everything that’s out a lack of parental supervision , the ppl kids hang around. AIDS has been pushed aside now.I became sexually active at a very young age and watched my 1st Porn when I was 12 .No !!No 1 molested me or any crazy shit like that. I can tell u all it started with TV with me watching Wonder Woman with Lynda Carter, Three’s Cum…pany with Susanne Somer with the shorts riding all up .Daisy Duke from the Dukes of Hazzard just 2 name a few. I was checking at a young age trust me and it was not so easy 2 c back then. Now we are in the age of Parents lett’n kids do what they want hang with whom they want and Parents just being plain out lazy.It starts at Home . Safe Sex is not taught or not having sex at all. Plus being a pre teen male others always are like u aint had sex yet? aka Peer pressure. It’s a very sad sign of the times we live in and around . It will only get worse as media outlets and neglectful parents who are still babies themselves try 2 raise kids while not knowing how 2 parent. In closing I hope we as a Nation wake up and understand we need 2 pay more attention 2 what our kids are doing take that cell phone and look thru it sometimes, get on their myspace,facebook etc b4 they end up on Maury.
I was in the 6th grade, Halloween night when i got my first kiss….. you couldn’t tell me i wasn’t the man…. then i was a Fingerer up until the 10th grade… i was nice… when i did start having sex it was nothing but Trojans…. couldn’t imagine going raw… to scared about getting someone pregnant…. but the teenagers nowadays don’t care… having a baby as a teen is common… lack of a lot of shit is going on… we need to do better
am probably the youngest on here being only 21. you cant just say todays youth are sexually stimulated cause its different for everyone i remember having my crush when i was 7 and my kiss when i was 8 and lost it at 14. its bout education and parents my father left when i was 7 and mother never spoke to me bout sex and was hardly around she had 3 jobs so learnt from my friends and TV i remember finding out from friends the show that condoms are only 99% plus we in a more open society where everyone finds out, back in my mother time parents would hide things like this cause they where ashamed
Maybe it is because they are on here looking at the fat backs… lol! I couldn’t resit that one. It is fueled by everything you mentioned, but I think the biggest is technology ie, smart phones, texts, the web, reality shows etc. As parents we got to be on the ball and know what are kids are looking at.
No Honestly I was thinking that myself. I mean we had porn in our day, we even had playboy and other outlets very easily at our disposal but its like kids don’t even go through that “Boys/ Girls are yucky” phase anymore.
And even more than the “Boys/ Girls are yucky” phase, I was scared to death to talk to a girl when I was 13-14 yrs old. Kids are not scared anymore! Goes back to the “disensitization theory.” lol.
