The Kanye West 11 Studio Commandments
The Neurotic Producers’ Do’s and Don’t while being a guest in his studio

@Kanyewest @complexmag #MBDTF
Ordinarily I try not to give one particular artist too much burn on a given day especially in back-to-back post but I guess I’ll make an exception for Kanye given his album drops today. He deserves the attention from what I hear its a very quality project. For those who are interested in copping, word is Amazon.com is selling the album for only $3.99 for a limited time.
In promotion of said album, Mr. West is featured in a cover story for Complex Magazine this month. For the interview, the reporter ventured to Kanye’s studio hideout in Hawaii where he was photographed next to a wall of notes. Careful examination of such notes reveled a list of commandments if you will outlining appropriate behavior in the studio in effort to respect his craft and keep his work under raps. Perhaps a little self-absorbed but we wouldn’t expect less from Kanye and given the massive leakage of his previous works we’ll give him a break as borderline necessary.
The Rules
No hipster hats
No Tweeting
All laptops on mute
Just shut the fuck up sometimes
No blogging
No negative blog viewing
Don’t tell anyone anything about what we are doing
Total focus on this project in all studios
No pictures
No acoustic guitar in the studio
No lacking focus while music is being played or music is being made
While some of these “commandments” seem reasonable like no picture taking or laptop noises others could only be contrived by Kanye. Like what’s up with the ban on “hipster hats?” What exactly is a hipster hat. Perhaps he should had a visual aide with that one. His “Just shut the fuck up sometimes” law is one piece of advice perhaps he should follow. The don’t tell anyone anything about we’re doing sounds like Fight Club. But I really can’t for the life of me figure out his prohibition on acoustic guitars. Someone please help me out with that one. Only Kanye boy I tell you.

When I’m in the zone a hate the color yellow being around me, and I require a bowl of blue M&M’s all turned in such a matter so I dont see any W’s, E’s, or 3′s, and the number 7 erased from all watches and clocks, because 7 ate 9….. greedy bastard…
whoa… How long did it take to come up with THAT reply…
…good one though
Rather quickly, its my standard rant in preparation for stardom….
