Remember FIVE years ago during an MTV Hurricane Katrina telethon when Kanye West dissed then President Bush claiming he “doesn’t care about black people?” Well the comment at the time stirred up way too must dust for an instance of stating the obvious. On the heels of last nights “don’t call it a comeback” victory for the Republican/ Tea Party and just days after his Texas Rangers were defeated in the World Series, sources are saying that George Bush finally responded to those comments.
The immediate Past President will appear on NBC’s Matt Lauer Reports next week in promotion of his book, Decision Points. Today Entertainment Weekly published an excerpt from the interview.
“It was one of the most disgusting moments in my Presidency. He called me a racist. I didn’t appreciate it then. I don’t appreciate it now. It’s one thing to say, ‘I don’t appreciate the way he’s handled his business.’ It’s another thing to say, ‘This man’s a racist.’ I resent it, it’s not true.”
I find his response comical. Not only is he fuming hot about it 5 years late but to call THAT one of the most disgusting moments in his GOD-AWEFUL Presidency is disgusting in itself. What about 9/11 buddy? What about the downfall of the Economy. What about your “Mission Accomplished” hell the entire Iraq war???? Come on. For a man who destroyed the lives of so many domestically and abroad to become sensitive to being called a racist when many would claim he is, shows me that his priorities are all outta wack. Then again…when I consider the source…I wouldn’t expect anything less from Dubya.

There are so many reasons why I remember that moment. I was lucky enough to see it live. Mike Myers is like “waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahh, did he just say?!” George W.
