Vote…If Not for You, For This Kid & Your Ancestors Who Died So You Could
Exercise the single most important right you have as a U.S. Citizen.

#vote #electionday
I do realize that although we are Highbrid NATION, that we’ve now, graciously grown beyond the boundries of the United States alone to an international beast. I’ll keep this short and to the point because I BELIEVE the Nation is smart enough to not need this encouragement but today is Election Day. Today is most likely the day when all the ineffective Democrats will receive their pink slips in favor of future ineffective Republicans. That’s here nor there. The fact is that despite all the tricks, schemes and strategies devised on the part of many to discourage us or keep us from making our voices heard, today is the day we SHOULD partake in the single most important function we have as American aduts….VOTING.
It seems simple and yes it is (DISCLAIMER: the preceding may not be valid in New York, Florida and several rotating states.) The bottom line is despite our system’s many flaws, our ancestors regardless of color, sex or creed for one way or the other for our right to do so and we owe it to their legacy. We owe it to them to honor their sacrifices because while our greatest issues now a days may be health care and the economy theirs was what percentage of a human being’s could be considered valid. Lets not forget we’re less than 150 years removed from being sold at auction. If our ancestors didn’t stand up for our rights, your ass might be next up for bidding on eBay. Think about that.

Ditto mr. bad guy
im guessing the Florida fiasco ddnt teach yall nothing when it comes to “voting”/rocking the vote and any other slogans and catchy phrases attached to duty!! in case u ddnt learn, here it is again: voting does not work. IT GIVES THE FALSE SENSE OF HOPE THAT U HAVE A SAY IN WHO GETS IN OFFICE OR THAT U HAVE A VOICE WHEN U EFFECTIVELY DO NOT. YEAR AFTER YEAR U GET PEOPLE WHO PROMISE THINGS ARE GONNA CHANGE/GET BETTER WHEN THEY GET IN OFFICE VIA THEIR CAMPAIGN FORMULAS/STRATEGIES ALL WHILE DISCREDITING THE NEXT PERSON THAT THEY WONT DO WHAT THEY SAY THEY WILL DO. WHEN IN FACT THEY ARE BOTH LYING JUST TO GET PAID BY ALL OF US! ISNT THAT SOMETHING!!? PREY ON UR BELIEFS JUST TO GET PAID TO LIE TO US FOR X AMOUNT OF YEARS while certain folks are put in various power ( or already in) positions to “push laws” in to play. People are so caught up in other things (mindless entertainment & distractions) that they dont see whats right in front of them OR the bigger picture being painted.
There it is! Macika, you took the words right out of my brain!
I guess the alternative is better? Not voting? Explain.
The alternative is unity. Part of the problem is that, as Macika points out, “People are so caught up in other things (mindless entertainment & distractions) that they dont see whats right in front of them OR the bigger picture being painted.” So, people are all over the place. Most people in the U.S. KNOW that this country has been headed in the wrong direction for decades, but we are so caught up in our own little worlds that we are basically powerless, as a group, to do anything about it. The mortgage and car payments are due, one son has football practice, the other one AAU basketball, the daughter…whatever. The answer would be not voting, yes. NOBODY votes. That would be a meaningful statement…and since you asked, I think this whole system of government should be done away with. “The land of the free?” really, for whom? maybe for the 10 percent of the population who lives well and comfortable. Capitalism seems to be working for them. What about the rest? 85% are like sheep, willingly going to the slaughterhouse daily. The 5%, who swallowed the red pill, we have the almost impossible job of opening the eyes of the 85% … This county will never be right until and unless the 5% becomes 90%.
