Lebron Admits His ‘Decision’ Was a Mistake in New Nike Ad?
This new Nike ad raises a lot of questions literally and figuratively
@KingJames @chrisbosh @DWADEOFFICIAL @Nike @cavs
As the new NBA season gets ready to tip off tonight we’ll finally be able to see the Heat dust off that shiny new trio they hope will lead them to the promise land. And with the new season we’ll finally be able to put behind us the months of rhetoric that preceded and followed Lebron James‘ “Decision.” At the end of the night we’ll still have the Chris Broussards and Stephen A. Smith’s of the world analyzing every game but at least it’ll be the games and not the off the court BS that’s bored us over the last several months.
There’s little doubt that Lebron’s image and perhaps permanent legacy has taken a hit behind this “decision.” You also have to imagine that being a kid growing up as the next coming he was always built up and very rarely broken down. However this past few months he was slammed so much in the media and even by former players that it must have be an unwelcome change for Lebron. Its clear this really hit a nerve as he’s vowed to exact revenge on anyone who spoke out against him and his announcement.
And although he’ll have the opportunity tonight to do his speaking where he knows best, on the court, he and Nike decided to release this viral ad in which he goes as far as to admit past wrongs. We don’t know exactly what he’s referring to but given the imagery he’s at very least trying to apologize to Cleveland and admit that perhaps his drummed up “Decision” production with ESPN was a bit distasteful. To see if he feel his choice to join up with Bosh and Wade in a modern day basketball Voltron was the correct one, we’ll have to wait some time for that.

I’ve never had a problem with “The Decision”. Me and all my friends watched it, it got some seriously high ratings. I just think people keep making the excuse, “I didn’t like the way he made his decision.” Naw!! You just didn’t like that he didn’t choose YOU. LeBron’s image hasn’t changed at all to me. I have more respect for him for doing what he felt like he needed to do.
So why do so many of the legends have a problem with it?
The legends didn’t have the chance to do what LeBron did until their contracts ran out and they were older. I won’t say they are hating on Lebron, that will only happen if he wins multiple championships, then they will try and devalue them, but to pass up an opportunity to play with your NBA All-Star, US Team, friends would be a wasted opportunity.
He did what he had to do for him and his kids…
drip, drip, drip … oh, that’s the sarcasm dripping off your comment, auchamp22.
Well i am one of those ppl who didnt like the decision. It was very distasteful. Lebron is a great player but he knows the way he left wasnt the best way he could have did it. A hour long special? Cmon man. Its not that deep
No bullsh*t!!
Well after watching that for the 1st time and seeing him put the HEAT on HIS BACK last night, i’m back on the bandwagon even though i really never left. In the famous words of commentator Mark Jackson, “MAMA, there goes that MAN…!” KING JAMES that is
I am not a Lebron fan at all it’s about the Lakers pimp’n always since his Airness left. As 4 his Decision he should not have put it on blast like that, Kevin Durant just tweeted no need 4 a big BS…PN special when u could have just said hey Im bouncing 2 MIA . As 4 him leaving Cleavland I don’t blame him , upper management/owners got him scraps Jamison and O’Neal but never got him real help. He did not demand a trade like Kobe did in the middle of the season(before Pau Gasoft got there) he fullfilled his contract and bounced, like a MC Hammer check. Will going 2 MIA taint his status, hell yes but fuck it .When he finally gets a ring and he will after Kobe is gone then it will be all 4got’n about.
what happened to all the bull fans… there was so many back in the 90′s… ashame now we all love Lakers or Boston…
If ownership would not have broken up my beloved Bulls so early I would have still been jock’n but if u remeber , Jerry R. was quoted as saying “I don’t care if Phil Jackson wins all 82 games he is out”. Then jordan was like if Phil is gone I am out, so Scottie was like hell if MJ is gone I am out. Well u know Dennis was bouncing as well. They are still 1 of the best if not the best team ever put 2gether besides the “Dream Team”. 72-10 1996 Chi-Town bulls, I would put them up against the Heat, Lakers, Celts ,Orlando etc anyday.
