Following Latest Arrest, T.I. Chooses To Play The Victim

Posted by Juan

“The public will just throw you away. They would rather see you suffer than see you shine.”

@TIP #jail
Many could argue T.I.’s career is all but done following his latest arrest and recent announcement that he’ll be sentenced to 11 months of more jail time for the related parole violation.  However, give this country’s history and the seeming propensity for Hip Hop artists to become more not less popular following jail stints, T.I. may still have a fighters chance to stay relevant.  However what he does between now and the day he reports to prison will determine that.

Given the success of Lil Wayne’s intensive pre-jail strategy, T.I. would be best served to take notes and follow suit however at least initially it looks as if the Atlanta entertainer is taking a different path.  He recently sat down with Atlanta DJ Ryan Cameron and the attempted jumper Joshua on V103 to discuss his current situation.

T.I. clearly hasn’t been able to accept responsibility for his actions as yet.  While that may not matter, going on a radio show publicly and essentially blaming the public for being down on you makes you look like you’re playing the victim. Ehhhh!

“I have been in a position to see clearly just how quick people … the public will just throw you away. They would rather see you suffer than see you shine.”

Come one bee.  You got caught with a small arsenal of weapons then go on TV with this whole reformation “road to redemption” BS, do a one year bid then come out and think you’re still invincible making illegal u-turns while drinking weed and sipping sizzurp.  You can’t blame anyone but yourself bro.

    Im a big fan of T.I and I love T.I`s videos & songs and his hip hop music video collaborations with artists like DJ Khaled but he has to learn to take responsiblity in this situation and to stop blaming the world and the media in general for his problems. Hes such a talented rapper and a great performer too and so I hope he comes out of prison a wiser and more mature individual and remembers that he has a responsibility not just to his children to be a role model but also to all his young fans across the world.
