I absolutely hate The Apprentice but for some strange reason after all these season’s I still DVR it and watch.  Its addicting.  I try to convince myself that I’m somehow learning something about the business world.  Maybe in the beginning when they had real go-getter business folk but now its all about entertainment.  In the most recent season Trump takes a break from his “celebrity” format adopted in the past few seasons in favor of a cast of business people adversely effected by the economic downturn in a “recession” themed season.

But have no fear Celebrity Apprentice is coming back and it would seem promising to pack a can’t miss cast.  TMZ is reporting that rapper/producer Lil Jon…Yes Lil Jon will try his hand in the boardroom.  Expect random chants, grunts and YEAAAAAH’s at inappropriate times.  Joining Mr. Jon is the always entertaining LaToya Jackson.  Rounding out the already confirmed cast include Star Jones and Rocker Mark McGrath.

The website also claims former MLB star and baseball’s steroid secret whistle blower, Jose Canseco, singer turned weirdo Psychic Hotline spokeswoman, Dionne Warwick, supermodel Niki Taylor and the original “Survivor” winner Richard Hatch round out the cast which begins filming in New York next week.

So its clear at this point that no level of business acumen or civility is a pre-requisite just that their better days be behind them.  So we’ve had a drunken Dennis Rodman already, Now we get Lil Jon, the highly controversial Jose Canseco…. SOUND OFF: If you were the casting director who would YOU select to compete on the Celebrity Apprentice. Hmmmm….I’m thinking James Gandolfini (Tony Soprano) and Coco T for the eye candy.
