Rick Ross Goes ‘Boom’ For New Nike Commercial
Ricky Rohzay keeps his foot on 50′s neck.
Over the course of Hip Hop history there have been a select few who have routinely ended the career of their rivals through beefs and battles. Two of the best that ever did it were KRS-One and LL Cool J (in his prime). For the first part of his career it was believed 50 Cent would carry on that tradition. That was until he picked a fight with Rick Ross.
A funny little thing happened. Instead of ending it, 50 gave the then sputtering career of Ross a shot in the arm, one he has yet to look back on. Since their conflict their careers have taken two opposite paths. Ricky has gone on to drop two very successful albums and achieved worldwide acclaim and now he’s got a Nike Commercial to add to that resume. BOOM!
The clever folks at Nike have used the Social Network catch phrase as the slogan for their new ad campaign crossing over pop culture and sports. Not only does Rick Ross star in it but his very icy mechanical bling makes a cameo as well. Five years ago this would have been 50′s spot only Ross one upped him with a better brand. Rick Ross shoe line?

I gotta admit, I like this commercial because its funny. BUT doesn’t it make Ross look cheap and poor? Especially since he wasn’t wearing the real designer frames on that XXL cover a while back…I mean who gets their jewelry at a convenience store? LMAO (Come on Ricky, we know you got paper)
