Kanye West: Swizz Beatz is The Best Rap Producer of All Time. COSIGN?!

Its no secret that although Kanye West is one of the most talented entertainers of our generation its very clear that speaks in a continuous stream of consciousness and was born without a self-edit button. Rarely does he think about the things that he says or does (ahhhem Taylor Swift?).
So when Mr. West sent out a Tweet over his new toy Twitter recently proclaiming Swizz Beatz as the Greatest Rap Producer of All Time like everything else with Kanye, you had to consider the source.

Swizzee? The Best? That’s a helluva statement! Don’t get me wrong, Swizz is a bad muthafucka but how do you determine The G.O.A.T? With so many variables that title can go in more than 1 direction. There is more than 1 hip hop producer that has helped sell millions of records and has influenced music as a whole. Whether you like him or not personally Kanye is a bad muthafucka. Dr Dre is a bad muthafucka himself. What about Hank & Keith Shocklee during the 90′s(some more bad muthafucka’s. Cant talk bout hip hip producers without mentioning Primo(another bad muthafucka). Remember Diamond D? Ali Shaheed Muhammed? Prince Paul? Sorry but I cant give that title to one person.
Yeah Swizz Beatz is definitely one of the hottest producers in the rap music game right now and in the R&B scene too. He is working for everyone right now and I loved that Chris Brown song he did “I Can Transform Ya”. The Chris Brown music video for that was awesome too. And its not just R&B videos you can catch him on but a lot of Rap & Hip hop music videos too as hes definitely one of the most prolific producers out there right now.
Right now yes perhaps but what do you feel about his slot as an all time great?
DJ Premier…anything else is blasphemy. You know it. He’s your number one Fantasy Draft Pick. Guys like Pete Rock, Dr. Dre, Kanye perhaps…they all come on another tier.
Its tough to say, i think because swizz is killin shit right now, we might tip the scale to his side, but don’t yall forget about the Doc… there would be no swizz or yeezy without him….
Here Kanye goes again.. talking out his a$$ and d**keatin. How is Swizz-Beatz the G.O.A.T when he got sued by Casio for stealing their pre-programed music. He got sued for the Ruff Rider,DMX 1 and 2, The LOX, and Eve’s Album. Swizz-Beatz dont even make beatz like that, he’s does the same thing as Diddy. He buys them from unknown producers for 2 to 5 grand and flip them in the industry for 20k anywhere up to a 100k…
i hate swizz drum patterns and that damn siren. and all that damn hollin over the beat annoys me. but fancy is a damn good song. he not the best tho. but RO why a nigga gotta be dickriding for giving props?

i agree with you dude, but what keeps dre from the top spot is the fact that he cant do nothin witout scott storch! if u havent noticed every since scott got to havin his troubles is when dre stop makin music. like dupri said in 2001 “i know u dont do all the work in the studios, and i know you let dudes play wit yo booty hole” lol….. scott is his engineer hes preety much the brains behind dre. pac even said it, ” this nigga is not doin the beats but gettin all the credit.

It’s hard to argue with Dre being in the #1 spot when you’re considering longevity and albums sold. But me, I look at hip hop on a larger scale and consider it’s extension to R & B, and that’s something Dre has yet to get a grasp of. He’s had moderate success, but not to the level of Swizz, Kanye, or Timbo. These producers have shown a versatility that Dre hasn’t. But he has that spot by a hair in my eyes, followed by Kanye, Swizz, and Timbo

Swizz Beatz is a cool rap music producer but Kanye West is just as good himself. As most people are ignorant to the fact that although Kanye West is now a rap superstar with hit rap songs and some of the hottest Rap & Hip hop music videos around he started off working with rap stars like Ludacris and T.I producing cuts on their earlier albums. So Kanye West is an amazing rap producer himself.
I recently saw that Chris Brown music video for his smash hit R&B song “I Can Transform Ya” and Didnt Swizz Beatz produce that track? That was an amazing R&B song. And I have seen his music on R&B music videos like the Chris Brown song and also on Rap & Hip hop music videos too. So hes definitely one to watch and is obviously very versatile too.

Ridiculous. Swizz Beats used to be great when DMX first came out, but now all the beats sound alike and I’m tired of hearing “swizzy” yelled out on them too. Dre, Timbaland, and Cool & Dre all shit on Swizz Beats, as well as Master P’s old Beats By The Pound and Manny Fresh.

Actually Dr.Dre did beats 4 50′s last CD as well as EM’s last 2 CD’s which were hella tight especially on Em’s relapse and recovery.
He is doing shit with out SS and yes I agree we may never see Detox come out that’s 1 flaw about Dre he is mad lazy slow with his last few projects .The shit started at Death Row and has follwed him 2 the Afterbirth Records…I meant Aftermath my fault.
I would probably say he’s the best Rapper AND Producer, because he usually does both when he does his thing. However there are a lot of producers for rap that when I see they did I track I go.. ooh this one is gonna be good. For example:
Drumma Boy, Polow da Don, Kane Beatz, Zaytoven or Shawty Redd .. and more recently Lex Luger has a pretty good backing for production.
