Rihanna’s New ‘Rebellious’ French Neck Tattoo is Grammatically Incorrect

Apparently she skipped French Class in Barbados

Now I’ll be the last one to criticize anyone for not proof reading.  If you ever read any of my blogs you’re realized that most of what I write is stream of consciousness with a light proof read at best if you’re lucky.  But when it comes to permanantly scaring your body in the name of art and expression ya can’t cut corners.

Enter RiRi.  Rihanna has been spotted around NYC rocking some new ink on her neck.  While at first glance its hard to see but photographs reveal the script lettering reads  “rebelle fleur” literally translated “rebellious flower”.

One problem, the French like the other Romance languages places the noun before the adjective hence making the phrase “flower rebellious.” which of course means absolutely nothing.  Unlike her newest boyfriend, Matt Kemp who was with her and didn’t have her back, she’s stuck with some grammatically incorrect gibberish indelibly marked on her body in a place she can’t cover up.

  1. Drew Dastardly says:

…meh, a tattoo isn’t for the world, it’s for you. So her tat means exactly what it’s supposed too…

  2. Drew Dastardly says:

…meh, tattoos are for you, not everyone else. So her tat means exactly what it’s supposed to mean… and on that note, is the conscious act of rebellion even actual rebellion at all?

  3. Jaypream says:

    Could have been worse.
