Wyclef Gets His Obama On: Prepares to Officially Enter The Haitian Presidential Race
Is Wyclef’s Presidential Run an honest attempt to help his ravished country or playing President Obama Dress Up Time

@Wyclef @BarackObama #Haiti
this morning, a visibly anxious Wyclef who earlier this week announced his intentions to run for President of Haiti tweeted a photo of him on an air plane looking rather Presidential.
@Wyclef: Taking off on my way to Haiti me and my family About to make the biggest decision of our life.
You can’t help but believe that like so many other African Americans, Clef has been inspired by President Obama. I just hope that his run for office is more than just an elaborate attempt at playing house…White House.

Granted I’m a little rusty on my Haitian politics but I think you’d be hard pressed to find a better candidate. You cant question, whether or not he loves and has the countries best interest at heart.
I don’t see anybody that has that much love for Haiti than he do. I hope he wins. And Sean PENN needs to shut the f–k up, who gives a shit about what you think and how you feel!!!
First and for most having love for you country doesn’t qualify a person to be a candidate. are we going back to the idea of “whom would we rather have a drink with” philosophy. I mean I know its haiti but its still a real country. I commend Clef for putting haiti out there in the media but truth be told he wouldn’t know the what to do.
I mean he doesn’t even speak french. As stupid as that may sound to most its the language most of the country business is ran on. Clef would be a great president, but you have to take into account all of the corrupt people that would take advantage of his love of country and naivety – hence why the shawn penn comment is real. not being able to control or know whats going on in your charity how are you going to run a country full of crooks… (PS I’m haitian i can say that)
Also understand haiti presidential structure is not like the US. The president truly has No power. Clef would have to build/reconstruct the entire governmental electoral offices from scratch.
I think it’s a great intro for Clef into politics’ but he needs to walk the walk before he can talk the talk. I’m not talking about going to drop some food and leave on your private jet. I mean the man needs to live and experience the country for a year or two before he can be truly considered.
