Hip Hop Weekly’s Launches 3D Swimsuit Calendar W/ Tahiry, Amber Rose Cover Issue
Despite a sinking Print Industry, Hip Hop Weekly keeps it simple and gives readers what they want. SEX!

Over the past couple of years we’ve talked at great length about the struggling magazine/ print format and its various attempts to reinvent itself in effort to prevent a looming demise. These efforts have produced some very creative marketing strategies and some others that left much to be desired. Hip Hop Weekly hopes their latest project falls into the former category. The Miami based magazine dropped the first ever “Flawless Beauties” 3-D swimsuit calendar as part of its “1st Annual Swimsuit & Summer Style Issue” release.
In order to broaden its appeal, the calendar features ladies from various ethnicities sporting some sweet bathing suits. Cuban-Lebanese model, Sagia Castaneda takes the honor of being the calender’s first cover girl. In conjunction Hip Hop Weekly takes an integrated approach launched their 1st Annual Swimsuit & Summer Style Issue complete with two separate covers featuring two of the hottest names in urban modeling, Kanye West and Joe Budden’s former arm candies, Amber Rose and Tahiry. The Tahiry cover allows readers to open the bath house door attached to the front cover of the magazine to reveal Tahiry’s Fat Back worthy body.
I guess I was wrong. I apologize to David Mays and Raymond “Benzino” Scott founders of Hip Hop Weekly and the former Bible of Hip Hop, The Source. After they ran The Source into the ground, I doubted they would be able to make a comeback with Hip Hop Weekly however the Magazine has flourished. After all, who can complain about a marketing tactic like that? Sex sells. Its a fact and if there’s any sector of the entertainment industy that’s currently flourishing its the urban modeling. No longer are the models confined to just video vixining but with Twitter and various social networking platforms they’ve got the Nation’s attention in a big way. Cudos to Hip Hop Weekly for capitolizing on that trend.

well its funny you have an article about music in which you said whens the last time anyone brought a album legit in a store.
Well same for sex in mags. I haven brought a Show ever and havent copped XXL or the source in like 3 or 4 years.
Yea the web is the culprit but the reality is I dont feel like paying five bucks every month for a handful of pics that are rivaled by all the “homegrown” pics out there.

Its like Coke and the Mean Joe Green ads…a Coke Marketing Exec stated all those ads (If I could teach the world to sing) didnt help sell one more Coke… and this is one of the worlds most recognizable brands!!!
I do think the younger generation is way more gullible and acutually believes the images and questions nothing they really think “hey some BAPE and Gucci kicks I can bag a video model”.
But dudes my age we NEVER paid for porn going back to VHS days..aint about to start now.

That is because everyone’s dad or uncle had a box of porn stashed somewhere…. the old VHS boxes are classic…

As for porn, I used to have the hooked up Cablevision Black box, all the channels for paying for basic. Ahhhh, the good ole days!!!
