Drake Spews Backhanded Venom At Highbrid Nation Readers

Posted by Juan

“It takes a certain type of individual to really participate in [Highbrid Nation]” Did he just call us special?

@PAPERMAGAZINE @DRAKKARDNOIR
This month Hip Hop 2.0′s poster child, Drake graces the cover of Paper magazine.  Among other things, the Young Money recording artist discusses his desire to continue pursuing his acting career and a desire to play President Obama in a prospective biopic.

“I hope somebody makes a movie about Obama’s life soon because I could play him. That’s the goal [laughs]. I watch all the addresses. Anytime I see him on TV, I don’t change the channel, I definitely pay attention and listen to the inflections of his voice. If you ask anyone who knows me, I’m pretty good at impressions.

Ijust pay attention so when the day comes I’m not scrambling to learn how to speak like him.”

But it was his comments about blogger that I WAS paying attention to.  Speaking on the hatred spewed about him on blogs just like this one, Drakes says he’s made a concerted effort not to read them citing only “a certain type of individual” read blogs.

“I stopped going on a computer. I have a problem where if I go read a hundred positive things about me and there’s one guy in there who says ‘I hate Drake’ that’s the one I pay attention to. I think that’s a common problem. Negativity hurts us more than positivity helps us. I asked about 10 or 20 people around me, ‘When’s the last time you went on a website and commented on something, like a song dropped and you went on and said, ‘That song is hot’ or ‘That song is terrible?’ And everyone I asked around me, whose opinions I respect, the people I love, were like, ‘I’ve never done that before.’ And these are all level-headed, intelligent people whose opinion I respect, so I just started saying to myself, ‘It takes a certain type of individual to really participate in a group discussion about someone else, especially if they’re going super hard with consistent hate.”

Hmmm.  I’ve laid real low on Drake since he’s garbage began hitting the airwaves not because I thought he was good or bad but because I really didn’t care all that much.  He was just another entertainer adding to the plethora of nonsense cluttering the airwaves and hypnotizing our misguided pant sagging youth.  I don’t know, something tells me the hate directed at Mr. Drake will elevate just a tad.  His comments insinuating that perhaps only a “certain type of individuals” participate in group discussion about someone else doesn’t sit well with me.

The Highbrid Nation has always come to my defense when other’s attacked and I’m going to come to yours.  Drake’s music is wack.  He knows it and we know it.  He said it himself in the article he’s just trying to pull the wool over enough people’s eyes long enough to jumpstart his bootleg acting career.  Drake play Barack Obama?  He has a better chance of playing South Carolina’s bumbling senatorial candidate, Alvin Greene than he does the President.

Drake best keep my damn name out of his gay faced mouth… LOL!!
I don’t hate Drake, I hate the garbage he puts out and labels as relevant hip-hop. Honestly, as Juan said, I don’t care enough to hate.
You know who I hate, Dipset, Young Jeezy these niggas are the epitome of what I hate about Hip-Hop, but the shit they put out is so effing catchy, I hate myself for liking their music, but as for Drake there aint no appeal what so ever.
Fake Drake could do us all a favor and fade away into obscurity, silently and quickly…

    HATE, HATE, HATE, HATE…

Classic Juan: “just another entertainer adding to the plethora of nonsense cluttering the airwaves and hypnotizing our misguided pant sagging youth.” That is sooo good, Juan!

  10. Uncle Ruckus says:

Whoa whoa whoa! Now you monkeys are only hating on that light skinned darkie because you don’t have the close to white skin like he does. His music makes white people happy and that is enough for ol uncle ruckus.

You darkies can hate on Drake as he makes money for the white man, but you can you monkey do the same? I think not. This half n half, Lando Calresian-type negro is what negroes should aspire to be.

Now as for him playing that muslim monkey president, I hope he doesn’t tarnish the white blood flowing in his veins by playing him. Keep your Roman-esque nose and lightened skin away from the garbage of these monkeys.

    Uncle Ruckus (no relation)
    -Left eye lol

  14. skinnygirluver says:

Boo-Hoo. Someone on the computer doesn’t like me??! Stop whining Drake. Well, there are “certain type of individuals” that are B#tches and cry over any negative comment about them. F’ckin’ crybaby.

  15. ca$h says:
