Free Agent Frenzy: Where’s Lebron Going?

Posted by 4PL

July 1 is here let the madness begin.

If you’re a basketball fan, all you’ve heard about the last 2 years is July 2010 and the free agent class of the NBA. At the head of the class is superstar and the second best player in the NBA (y’all know who the best player is!) Lebron James. Lebron isn’t the only heavy hitter in the class. You have the Hawks Joe Johnson, Miami’s Dwayne Wade, Toronto’s Chris Bosh, Sun’s Damon Stoudemire, Jazz’s CarlosĀ  Boozer, late entries Paul Pierce and Ray Allen of Celtics fame. Even the Denver Nuggets are trying to put the press on their star Carmelo Anthony to re-sign now as opposed to waiting for next year or else they’ll tradeĀ  him.

This is by far the biggest free agent class in the history of sports probably. I wont go in to all of the rumors and possibilities b/c we’re all going to be inundated w/those reports until all these players are signed. I will say however my Knicks are in a good position money wise and even if we don’t get Lebron we’ll still end up with one or two max players. The frenzy and sales pitch has already begun Chris Bosh is already tweeting that he’s heard pitches from Houston, Dallas, Miami, Chicago, and Toronto. As Always I’m interested in what you guys think. Where’s Lebron going? How will this free agent class be remembered; shaking up the NBA for the next few years or familiar faces in familiar places. (Game Blouses!) @4pl

You all are going to think I’m crazy, but Lebron, Bosh, and Joe Johnson need to go to Charlotte. What better person to work for than the greatest to ever play the game! He can mould them into those championship caliber players that they need to be. Larry Brown will be a great coach for them.

    • 4PL says:

Not a bad Idea, but Charlotte doesn’t have the Loot!

      • jamesgladden says:

This is where the rubber is going to meet the road for them. Mike (on many occasions)sacrificed the loot for the Chip! Many young players in this generation won’t sacrifice the money for the hardware. Mike got his biggest contacts at the end of his career.

MEMO TO LEBRON, WADE, BOSH, A’MARE, JOHNSON: Pleeeeze sign…with somebody…anybody….so I don’t have to keep hearing about this sh*t!

  3. B.E.B. says:

Mark Cuban said we’re still in the running to get Lebron! I know its a long shot and he probably won’t sign with the Mavs but I still like to dream!!! All these free agents will be the talk for weeks to come…

    • jamesgladden says:

      @B.E.B.

I think your choice is better than the Bulls. They have better role players in Dallas.

      • B.E.B. says:

Thanks! I believe Dirk is our key player but we need someone who can help him. Someone who is dominant and aggressive! Dallas lacks aggressiveness big time and Lebron can definitely fill that void. Plus Cuban has the money to bring him down here…that always helps lol! But really we all know Lebron will go to where Jay-Z wants him to go…

        • jamesgladden says:

If he doesn’t come, I would def consider A’mare! He is very aggresive and yall have the PG’s that will dish that rock…

  4. auchamp22 says:

We know Wade staying put…. Lebron honestly i wouldn’t be surprised if he stays home… only one of the b 3 who is def going somewhere will be Bosh.. bosh and wade maybe… bosh wade and lebron i doubt it….

  5. 4PL says:

I forgot Dirk when I was listing those free agents earlier, No Disrespect Dirk is a beast!

  6. lalala says:

im a warriors fan and it lokks like where getting noone

  7. Reuan11 says:

If LeBron makes the decision on opportunity to win championships, he should come to Chicago! New York? Really? they are years away. New Jersey? The Clippers? yeah, the hotbed of champions. Teamed with a second max player (Bosh, Boozer, or Wade coming home) along with one of the best rebounders (Noah) and point guards (Rose) – this is a no-brainer.

  8. harley isle says:

i live in cleveland all u big dummys licking ur lips to get him in another city quit because he aint going no where!!!!end of story
