SOUND OFF: Now that Team USA has been eliminated from the World Cup Will you still Watch?
Did you even care in the first place
I’m not going to lie; the last couple of weeks I’ve had a small case of World Cup fever. Watching it on ESPN and ABC seeing the excitement and fanfare and Also watching the U.S. team tie its first and second game both in dramatic fashion and win it’s last game in the first round had me amped. I thought wow U.S. could win this thing and then reality set in. Over the weekend U.S. faced a faster and better ball handling Ghana team and was overcome in extra time w/Ghana winning 2-1. It was evident from the beginning of the match who was more skilled, the U.S. team plays soccer while the Ghanaian s live soccer.
And if Ghana and Argentina (mine and everyone else’s favorite to win it all) are any indication of the skill level thats left in the tourney the the U.S. had no chance to begin with those aforementioned teams are too good. When the cup first started we asked the Natioin if you even cared and 60-40 said they did and would watch. Now that the U.S. has been eliminated do you still care and will you still watch? If so what team are you running with now? (Game Blouses!)

What??!!, It’s getting better every day! Spain and Portugal today and Brazil and the Netherlands on Friday…great matches…the control they have over that ball without touching it with their hands is absolutely amazing to me…The winner will be…one of these three teams: Brasil, Argentina, Germany.
Argentina
Of course we will watch. The US sucks like Kat in the old Elements nightclub.
Brazil is looking like men amongst children. Argentina is also strong. I do want an Argentina-Brazil final. Maradona vs Pele’s boyz! lol
Nah I’m a wrap. I’ll catch the highlights of the goals the refs missed on SportsCenter.
In my heart I want to watch but its difficult when they have no prime time matches, every match is either 9am or 2pm or the middle of the day Saturday. Unlike the Olympics they didn’t consider the American audience when scheduling the match times.

4pl, check out that site. it streams the games live. I have the games going all day.
As for your comment about the American audience, consider that this country is the least interested in soccer. It’s not about the american audience. Do you think that all of the games are in a perfect time for all of the countries? if you do, then you are more self-centered than the Bush family.
Seriously though, the world cup is not about the US. The US is trying to get the MLS off the ground. They are hoping to catch an audience but the money is overseas anyway. The best players are not in the US. Why would they cater to the US’ audience? It’s bad business investments. Also, the US has more than one time zone so trying to get things ready for the US audience is not possible. The majority of the soccer fans will find a way to watch it during those times.
Also…Landon Donovan is a bum and Manchester City better not sign him or they are going to see how bad he is. He’s not Messi, Christiano Ronoldo, Wayne Rooney, …etc.
I’m hoping for a Brazil vs. Germany final. Yes, I’m still watching. I understand that some people watched when the U.S. did well and then stopped when they were eliminated that is fine but if you want to see good soccer the Semi-Finals and the Finals are the time to watch. You have to play to win, there are no more ties and you don’t want to go to penalty kicks, just as Japan.
