T.I. in XXL Mag: ‘I Aint No Snitch’

Posted by Juan

“There ain’t nobody, nowhere in naan jail sayin’ I was on they paperwork.” What does the NATION think?

XXL
@xxlstaff @TIP #snitching
Even before T.I. began serving his sentence for a 2008 weapons charge, T.I. was telling everyone who’d listen that he was a changed man and wanted to breathe positivity into not only his music but Hip Hop.  Since his release he’s sought to continue that quest to become a more positive role model to the younger generation that looks up to him.

However just as many fans as he’s gained, he’s lost on the streets from those that believe he snitched.  His critics say the math just doesn’t add up.  Those familiar with similar cases argue that given the evidence and charges, there’s no way he could have only served less than a year without rolling on someone.

But as T.I. tells Ben Detrick for XXL Magazine’s July/ August issue cover story, rumors that he supplied the government with pertinent information in order to receive a shorter prison sentence just aren’t true.

“There ain’t nobody, nowhere in naan jail sayin’ I was on they paperwork.  Can’t nobody show you no paperwork with my name on it. Ain’t naan judge, ain’t naan D.A., ain’t nobody.   But what troubles me is that there’s muthafuckas out there talking ’bout they think or believe I’m snitching, but riding around, smoking weed and drinking beer with muthafuckas who they know telling.  But you want to sit back and talk shit about me on the computer.”

“What people don’t take into consideration is the reason that I was eligible for certain agreements that they weren’t eligible for was because I made myself a useful member of society.”

“Most muthaf-as catch cases and get time. My nigga, you wasn’t doing shit when you was out here, so wasn’t no reason for them to keep you out here.”

“Please understand the G code that I learned from, if you speak out your mouth that a muthafucka is telling on somebody and you can’t come with indisputable, irrefutable facts to support that statement, that makes you the sucker.  You are now in violation of the G code. And there ain’t nobody, nowhere in naan jail sayin’ I was on they paperwork.”

The July/August issue of XXL hits newsstands July 6.

Sounds like T.I. is pretty hot about the subject.  While he seems to have a logical explination for the short sentence, he also had about a year to craft it.  What do you think?  Did T.I. Snitch?!

If he did snitch, the FEDS would not be trying to hide the fact that he did. They don’t care about him. Furthermore, he is going to make himself look like he did if he keeps trying to explain the fact that he didn’t. Let these suckas think what they want as he has a family to feed.

  2. dudurty1 says:

if he did smokin gun or tmz or somebody else will find the paperwork till then ima believe him. either way it dont affect me lol

  3. Mr. Bad Guy says:

If he did snitch, then on who? He’s the only on surfacing to do any type of jail time.

I can guarantee that the person or persons he snitched on would be fully exploiting the fact that TI snitched.

Lastly TI would snitch and say what? From what is told, HE personally showed up to purchase the hardware.
What he would snitch to name cohorts in the crime? He would still face the majority of the responsibility for the crime.

    • jamesgladden says:

      Exactly!

    • Juan says:

Great point you raise here. I know its elaborate but what if T.I. paid someone to do his bid for him? Hear me out. He snitched on Pookie then told pookie he’d take care of him for helping him get an early release. It could happen?

  4. drewski says:

C’mon snoozers! Y’all don’t get the Feddy game? It ain’t that he ain’t snitched or ain’t nobody been busted- he is now on they “do-boy”list. He is in their debt from now on and he’s got to pay ‘em. Read up on how the Feds do they thang.Wha’chall thank? The Feds diggin Rubberband man so tuff that they gave him a pass? C’mon man- Mike Vick did more time over dog fightin and he wasn’t even on the premises when the thing went down. We are talkin’ bout automatic weapons in the hands of a “GANGSTA RAPPA”. “T.I.” stands for “Tellin’ It”!

    • jamesgladden says:

So did Alfamega and there is paperwork on him all over the net.

    • Juan says:

I think that’s a valid point as well. I think he’s paid not just to be a good Samaritan in the rap community but perhaps to alert the fed about things he might hear in the industry.

  5. Jaypream says:

I dont know much about law, but I know enough to know a convicted felon does not, or should not, get 1 yr for all that hardware he had. I don’t care how useful you are to society. If he didn’t snitch and still only got that much time it’s actually an injustice cuz it demonstrates special treatment in the eyes of the law.

  6. auchamp22 says:

idk, i see both sides of the argument… I think i’m going to believe him though, he made some bold statements and if some papers would hit the medias hands he knows he would be in some deep shit…. He said what he had to say about it and you prolly won’t hear him talk about it again….

    • Juan says:

Yeah, I agree. If he’s lying he definately left himself out on a limb. If I was a rapper incarcerated in jail right now I’d say T.I. snitched on me just to draw attention. lol. Jokes!

  7. Honey Love says:

I think the Feds do have paperwork for TI under another alias. They would not publish it against his name due to the public knowing HE IS an informant. TI had a silencer and no one gets off easy with that in their possession. It’s okay, let TI inform on some of this wack thugs in the industry. Time to clean house.

  8. B.E.B. says:

I guess we’ll never really know huh? If he did snitch, who would it be on? The people who were providing him the firearms? Furthermore, would he even need to snitch when he’s got all that paper? Could that have been a factor as to why he had early release or a 1 year prison sentence?

  9. dewayne says:

the person he would snitch on may have nothin to do wit the gun case. he could be snitchin on anyone he me know the feds are after. you know maybe a few big tyme dope dealers or something. when your workin for the feds you report everything thats over a certain value.

  10. t dog says:

he told a guy named pappa joe from cols, ohio

  11. t dog says:

he told on a guy named pappa joe from cols ohio

  12. wesley says:

Fact….. if he flipped there would be paper work. Fact….. in our judicial system you can get out of anything with enough fame and money. Fact….. he’s in the music and movie bizz now who would he really have to snitch on. The guys been out of the game for years. I don’t care either way but I’ve been snitched on and was able to get all of my court documents that tell everything. Lastly if he snitched someone out they would be letting everyone know.
