Eminem’s ‘Recovery’ Leak Reveals Almost Beef With Lil Wayne, Kanye

Posted by Juan

Is his “Talkin’ To Myself” song a deviously clever way to diss the rappers without a reason

Yesterday was Tuesday, the music industry’s recognized album release day and Eminem‘s long awaited album, Relapse hit the street.  The only problem is its not actually due to drop for another two weeks.  Chalk that one up to yet another victim of the album leak occupational hazard.

And while I’ll wait until it officially drops to cop, one of the tracks that the overzealous few are already talking about is “Talkin’ To Myself” featuring Kobe.  Written from the prospective of his internal thought process he discussed almost recording a diss track spitting venom for both Lil Wayne and Kanye.

“Hatred was flowing through my veins, on the verge of going insane / I almost made a song dissing Lil Wayne. It’s like I was jealous of him because of the attention he was getting, I felt horrible about myself / He was spittin’ and I wasn’t / Anyone who was buzzin back then could of got it, almost went at Kanye too / Thank God, I didn’t do it, I would of had my ass handed to me.”

Is Eminem serious?  I know he might be a little rusty with the battle skills not having used them in a minute but Kanye and Weezie can’t hold a flame to Slim Shady.

Hands down, Eminem is one of the all time best lyracist dead or alive which leads me to believe is the song more cleaver than a first glance would indicate.

By telling the world you considered dissing ‘Ye and Weezie aren’t you in a sense doing it anyway?  Buy doing it under the guise of his inner thought process it justifies his jealousy reasoning however.  Since he admits having no founded anamosity other then envy he may have just chosen to throw it out there without 100% taking responsibility for it. Cleaver if its true.

I’m guessing he felt this way at the time Kanye was spitting absolute venom on tracks… At that point Kanye would probably have taken Eminems lunch money… Wayne is one of my fav artist out right now because his punchlines are crazy, but he isn’t a battle type dude, he rarely goes at rappers so if em did go at him, he would murder Wayne….

  2. Chill says:

I have to agree, not taking any thing from either two, but battling wise, I think Em would do to them, what 50 cent did to ja, without a doubt..lol! Plus kanye damn here fell off the map (wit his backpac wearin azz..lol), and wayne can flow as far as witty punch lines, but over half of his music ain’t really talkin bout sh*t(positive at least), fo real! All three of’em is nice mc’s though, plus they gettin that ink, so…..!

  3. 4PL says:

Em is the most honest rapper or probably artist out there he says what everyone else thinks.

  4. Norml says:

Yeah, eminem is now bowing down to the media and this new age crap they call rap. A lil wayne diss would have worked, unlike the so called song on the album. WOW, where the hell is relapse 2….figures. Sold out, big time, might as well filled the album with skits. I can only hope DRE will not make the same mistake. NEW AGE, this albums for you.

  5. Norml says:

    Recovery indeed, my ears.

  6. haze says:

  12. ca$h says:

he was tellin the truth. on one hand then giving them props on the other…them 3 are like the Big Three in My Book.

  13. Drew Dastardly says:

Please stop talkin about Lil’ Wayne. His rhymes are like Chinese food, after ingesting them and lettin them digest, they leave you with a deep empty feelin. BECAUSE LIL WAYNE NEVER SAYS ANYTHING!!!! His rhymes have NOOOOOOOO substance. PERIOD. Yeah he’s pretty clever about his rhymes, but its just a bunch of words that rhyme.

  14. Katina says:

all of them are great rappers. honestly, wayne and drake’s style is more popular… for right now. everybody was hot at one point. i remember when everybody was Blastin Kanye’s jesus walks and gold digger. i also remember everybody blastin Eminem’s The Way I Am and Cleanin Out My Closet. so thats not fair to say wayne is better than Em.
And for the record, Wayne isnt a battle rapper, he’s a metaphorical rapper. Wayne, Drake and Nicki comes up with catchy phrases in songs…. thats it.
Eminem has gained HELLA recognition for his diss raps. This man has literally ruined careers… remember Ja Rule and Benzino?… BARELY!
In all honesty, Eminem would’ve killed it. the only person that wouldve been on his level is Kanye.
you cant compare “what’s hot right now” to raw talent.

  15. Rockwells says:

Em is the truth. Lil wayne is trash sounds like a chic. And Kanye is also trash. Em will destroy those clowns. Dont know why Em never did a joint with Joel Ortiz. Em is raw uncut talent. To me he is one of the best mcs of all time if not the best. White boy is a beast. The only mc that transends skin color. Been waiting for Em. One of 4 artists that i will go buy cd.

  16. Rockwells says:

Forgot to comment on Drake and Nikki. They suck. Lil Kim way more talented than Nikki. And Drake is trash. No other word to describe him. They will be done by next year to vanish into the background. Always happens to trash.

  17. cwa says:

listen to white trash party<<<<killer hey<<<but em is the shit and wayne is nothing compaired to em<<<period.

  18. MC KRONIK says:

MAN! I Wish Eminem Would Diss Half The Rappers On The Mainstream Level, Starting With Lil Lame…I Would Diss His Ass Out But The Only Response I Would Get Is” HATER”

  19. KRS-UNO says:

Wow, i thought i was a scarce percent of the anti-young money movement, im glad to see people are finally starting to notice ym for what they are and agree with me that Em would end all of them. funny, if you meet somebody reppin ym and call them out on things stated above they’re only response is, ‘yea you right’, or ‘i feel you’, ‘but you gotta respect what theyre doing’ NO I DONT! they single handedly ruined hiphop, made it cool for tennyboppers, shit drakes probably on the front of teenbop right now. And MCKRONIK is so right most the time if u try and make a statement like mine or the ones above all you get is “hater!”. Look its cool to mainstream hiphop and make it more acceptable as a genre rather than having it downed all the time, but for people to claim young money is the best and weezy, drake and nikky are the best to do it are INSANE
