Chris Rock’s Courtside Jokes Can’t Faze Kobe’s NBA Finals Game Face

Ordinarily when Chris Rock goes into his joke routines, whoever’s within ears length can’t help but bust out in laughter. But Thursday night during game 1 of the 2010 NBA Finals even a freestyle comic routine from one of the all time greats couldn’t shake the focus of his counterpart on the court. A stoic Kobe Bryant was taped unfazed by the undoubtedly gut-busting one-liners being spit by “Pookie” with David Spade next to him playing hype man. I’ve never been a Kobe fan but he just earned a few more ounces of respect from the kid. If I were the Celtics I might just have to surrender. Sorry but nothing is going to hold him from #5.
