Walmart/ Apple Drop Price of iPhone into Highbrid Nation Approved Price Range

Posted by Juan

If you’ve been holding out for an iPhone 3GS, It appears Apple has finally got some sense and is selling them at a reasonable $97 at Walmart

Apple 3GS@walmartnews
Since it debuted in the United States back in June 2007, the iPhone has been one of the most sought after gadgets however given its price tag (and perhaps its lackluster mobile carrier) many have you may have resisted the urge.  But with the next generation of iPhone now on the horizon the iPhone 3GS, its latest model, has been spotted at Walmart for under a C-Note for the first time.

Of course you’ll have to sign your life away to AT&T for the next two years on contract but for $97 its actually not a bad deal considering it still selling at other retailers for $199.  *If you’ve been lusting for an iPhone, but couldn’t afford one, good news is here.

Apple recently became publicly incensed when a then top-secret prototype of their next generation device landed in the hand of gadget blog, Gizmodo.  Although some question whether the incident wasn’t orchestrated by Apple, they assert the leak has cost them sales of the older model as consumers are holding out for the newer model.  However the price drop at Walmart is sure to entice some out there maybe even some in the Highbrid Nation just not me.  I’m a Verizon man and my Motorola Droid Does ;-) .

Do you still have to pay that $45 a month for the iphone service

I still do not have a practical use for a personal smartphone. My laptop still covers everything along with my “free” phone. Although the low price is very tempting.
