While Eddy Curry has been rotting on the end of the New York Knicks bench nursing injuries and collecting $10.5 million in paychecks he’s apparently been off spending waaaay too much of his money on b.s.  According to the New York Daily News, Curry was unable to convince a judge he was broke and ordered today to pay back an Allstar capital loan of $570,000 loan plus interest.

Clearly wasting the courts time, Curry’s defended that he was in over his head in expenses and couldn’t repay the loan.  What expenses you ask?  Well there’s the $6,000 monthly salary he pays to his personal chef, $17,000/ month rent, his $425 monthly satellite TV bill so he can watch his team play on the road, $16,000 a month for his parents, sister and father-in-law’s allowance and another $30,000 for unspecified “household expenses.”  The court documents also indicate that he owes fellow NBA bum, Juwan Howard $350,000 and owes back pay on the mortgage on his mansion and tuition for his kids private school. Oh and there was also something about 12 cars he’s purchased that are being driven around by his relatives and friends.

Somehow I don’t think that excuse would jive if you or I approached the bench with that bs.  Come on man.  Folks really need to check themselves.  Just because you might not have any disposable income doesn’t mean you’re excused from paying your bills.  As a matter of fact, Eddy Curry should be ordered to pay any fan’s outstanding loans that foolishly bought Knicks season tickets instead of paying their bills just because he’s that disappointing.
